Don't Buy a PayPal Prepaid Mastercard or Else

Purchased a PayPal prepaid Mastercard on 9/8/20, unaware of a monthly fee of $4.95 even if the card isn't used. With the $20 minimum deposit, the card would be worthless after 4 months.I called customer service to cancel the card for a refund on my deposit but this involved a $5 "service charge", so my refund was only $15!!! You can no longer log in

You can no longer log in, since security update, asking you to authenticate despite putting in your password and being a customer over 10 years. Authentication is through a text or call to you, but lists long ancient number, and no other option. Cannot change number without logging in, and can’t log in as can’t accept the text or call from a number no longer in use

Paid with PayPal for a product ordered on a website skortu-dot-com that was represented to be a precision instrument shipped from San Francisco, and with a money back guarantee. Turns out it was a plastic toy shipped from China. The seller refused to refund the payment. I filed a claim with PayPal. would have given zero stars if it was an option. As eBay and PayPal are essentially the same group this is about both of them. Sold a computer screen described properly and in perfect working order. Buyer then said it didn't fit and wanted to send it back despite clearly being sold with no returns. If I could give paypal 0 stars I would. Been completely robbed of £40 I paid for a coat which got damaged by the awful packaging of the seller. Opened a claim and apparently there’s no proof the damage wasn’t caused by me, so the seller gets to keep my £40 and I’m left with a brand new coat with a whole lot of damaged marks on it. The seller was also rude towards me throughout the entire thing and I sent paypal proof of that. Absolutely disgusted, will be deleting my paypal account.

I wish you could give negative starsDepop use paypal as their payment and paypal is THE WORST. They've stolen my money for 4 weeks despite the buyer confirming they have their item and are very happy with it. Honestly they are criminal at paypal. They haven't responded to my messages for a week now and everytime I call the phone says to send a message and hangs up. SOMEONE PLEASE BUILD A COMPETITOR AND TAKE PAYPAL DOWN.

Scammed by Chinese seller CandBuy

Scammed by Chinese seller CandBuy for $25 approx. 30 Trustpilot reports of similar scams. Reported to PayPal mid August. Sent ALL information requested by PayPal, but mid October PayPal denied claim due to my allegedly not provided requested information. So much for their buyer protection. They are useless.
