Patreon and oppression of free speech
Patreon closed my flavorist news cast on the war in Ukraine. I do not appreciate oppression Rehi's right to free speech!! Reopen it !

Patreon can't be trusted, do not depend on them.
Before you consider depending on Patreon as a funding source consider how they treat others. Imagine that for six years you give Patreon your trust, you develop a community and they are happy to take their percentage. Then one day, with no warning, no appeal, no questioning, YOUR ACCOUNT IS DELETED. Patreon ignore your emails or send template emails, they are judge, jury and executioner with no recourse. Insane fees
Insane fees, and almost inexistent customer support. Also the variety of of payout methods are too limited such as the inability to withdraw funds directly to your bank account, instead you always have to go through a third party (Paypal or Payoneer only) which means even more fees
