Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more

Pardot pros and cons

  • Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.

  • Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.

  • Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.

  • Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.

  • Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.

  • Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Best integration with Salesforce, but annoying, tedious creative builder

What do you like best? It integrates the best with Salesforce...I would think this be a given since Pardot is owned by Salesforce. What do you dislike? I don't like a lot of things about Pardot. Landing pages and emails are built on "templates" which are not customizable unless you have an in-depth knowledge of HTML and CSS. There's no simple drag-and-drop builder (e.g. Act-On, SharpSpring that rapidly speed up workflows. As a result, emails or landing pages that would take 10 minutes ...

Is there such a thing as "too much" in marketing automation?

What do you like best? Breadth of capabilities! Real-time prospect activity, integrates with SFDC, A/B testing, segmentation, templates - its a little bit like a CMS in many ways What do you dislike? There are so many capabilities that it's nearly impossible to use them all successfully. In order to get the 'good ones', the licensing fee is about doubled per month. Also, it really only integrates with SFDC - so that doesn't leave as many options as one might desire. Recommendations to ...

Pardot Integrates

What do you like best? Salesforce and Pardot now (finally integrate seamlessly and this does remove database inconsistencies. Pardot is advanced enough for a mid-size company to nurture inbound prospects well without getting too cumbersome with too many advanced features that rarely would get used. What do you dislike? The basic mechanics of engaging lists and differentiating campaigns while scheduling and launching is unnecessarily tedious at times. The system should "remember' a ...

No Complaints

What do you like best? It's very useful for me, I use pardot to manage leads and revert-opt outs. What do you dislike? The user interface could be a little more intuitive. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Pardot helps me opt users back in to receiving communications if they accidentally unsubscribed from an email campaign.
