Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more
Pardot pros and cons
Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.
Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.
Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.
Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.
Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.
Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Good Salesforce Product
What do you like best? Pardot makes it pretty easy to set up and send newsletters. It connects to Salesforce which is helpful. What do you dislike? The connection between Pardot and Salesforce can be a bit wonky. You can upload lists to Pardot, but that has been creating problems in Salesforce for us, so now we always upload lists to Salesforce and have them populate to Pardot rather than the other way around. Recommendations to others considering the product Pardot is a pretty good ...

Pardot: Salesforce integration good, marketing automation meh
What do you like best? I like that Pardot's integration with Salesforce is relatively seamless. What do you dislike? I dislike that Pardot's options for incorporating lead gen into your existing platform are kind of klunky, and you're on your own if you ever need to do anything with lead capture that requires more than a basic implementation. Recommendations to others considering the product Pardot can do what you need it to do, for the most part. It will help if your marketing ...

Great marketing automation for mid size companies
What do you like best? The fact that its so easily integrated with Salesforce and other leading CRM. The basic marketing automation functionality is very easy to implement. What do you dislike? Its a bit expensive for startups and small businesses. It becomes more expensive as you add more contacts. Scoring system is basic but good enough for simple implementations. Recommendations to others considering the product Make sure you have your requirements well defined before choosing a ...

Does some awesome marketing automation stuff, could be much easier to navigate and integrate into SF
What do you like best? - Ability to send mass emails - single sign on with SFDC What do you dislike? - Reporting Sent, Open, and Clicks separately is heinous. Those should all be in one file and all cross-lookup friendly. A person --> were they sent something? did they open? did they click? What are the metrics of that? I should be able to do all that in a spreadsheet. - Confusing structure of campaigns, lists, etc. that go into all different kinds of folders. - Syncing ...

Platform does a few things well, but still needs better usability
What do you like best? I like that it's easy to send out emails and create landing pages. Analytics are not overly in depth, but what you really need is there. What do you dislike? It could be more user friendly and the email build feature should be more stable. Text jumps around, the Text version doesn't sync as well as it could, and the subject line isn't available when you're in the middle of working on the email unless you go to another screen. I don't like that it shows all ...
