Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (formerly Pardot) is a marketing automation platform built for B2B teams already using Salesforce. Its integration with Salesforce connects sales and marketing data directly—lead tracking, nurturing, and conversion workflows pull from the same system. The platform handles email automation, lead scoring, segmentation, ...Read more

Pardot pros and cons

  • Full marketing suite covering automation, lead scoring, segmentation, and campaign execution.

  • Direct Salesforce CRM integration gives unified pipeline visibility across sales and marketing.

  • Drag-and-drop tools for landing pages and emails work without technical expertise.

  • Analytics and reporting let teams optimize campaigns and track performance.

  • Steep learning curve; custom branding and advanced features require technical expertise.

  • Pricing is prohibitive for small and mid-sized businesses.

Gets The Job Done, but Lacking Innovation

What do you like best? Pardot is a fairly easy to use marketing automation solution that connects to Salesforce pretty seamlessly. It's capable of accomplishing most of your marketing automation tasks. What do you dislike? The Pardot platform lacks innovation. I've been using the platform for over a year and I'm not seeing any improvements being made. It seems like most third parties don't integrate with Pardot. Simple things like A/B testing email drips aren't possible. What business ...

Very Sophisticated Marketing Automation Tool

What do you like best? Pardot is highly customizable. You can set very complex automation rules easily and leverage almost every channel. Metrics are accurate and you can almost see them real-time, which is very important if you would like to get a quick sense of how your campaigns are doing. What do you dislike? It's hard to find a decent how-to guide. You have to figure things out by yourself -- trial and error mostly. No online chat option for quick questions and opening a new ...

Easy to design emails and campaigns

What do you like best? I like how easy it is to edit email templates without having to ask someone with design skills to change each little thing. It is also relatively easy to upload lists and create more complex drip campaigns. The easy integration with Salesforce and detailed reporting are huge pluses! What do you dislike? Figuring out how to set up more complex email campaign flows, rules, and forms are not always logical, but once you've figured out how to do it once or twice you ...

Realizing the possibilities of drip campaigns through Pardot

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Setting up forms for events and downloads and builiding lists (whether static or dynamic is easy through Pardot, and its email authoring environment does not get in the way too much. What aspects are problematic or could work better? When our Pardot prospects become leads they get sent over to our Salesforce account. Unfortunately this has caused all kinds of validation issues on the Salesforce side. We're still trying to find a ...

Do not recommend.

What do you like best? Not much. Pardot needs to be up to date with innovations in the understudy. What do you dislike? Supposed to sync seamlessly with salesforce and found so many issues between the two. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Tried to solve a seamless platform between salesforce and pardot. Did not come out that way.
