Amazing Pager Duty
What do you like best? I really like the way that I can schedule a on call rotation schedule and the Pager Duty automatically call my colleagues . Thera are a lot of integration with Slack and service now tool that we already did. I really would like to integrate the pager duty with Jira to create stories cards automatically. We integrate the Pager Duty in slack, so we can pager anyone using our slack channel. What do you dislike? I really dislike the possibility to integrate Pager ...

Solid product for handling on-call alerts
What do you like best? PagerDuty is feature-rich and has a solid, reliable API. The iOS mobile app is also very handy, as is the ability to provision a number to route to an on-call person on your team. What do you dislike? The administration interface is a little dated and difficult to use for certain things. Managing groups and escalation paths can sometimes be a trial and error type situation. Recommendations to others considering the product: It’s a solid service for a fair ...

Great for just starting nad need some method to page an owner.
What do you like best? The simple interface for powerful options. and the appreciating asset it has. New features just roll in, and the ease just gets better and better, even with the powerful options they're rolling out. What do you dislike? The calendar integration could be easier. I feel it's a little pricey for the features, but overall good value. Recommendations to others considering the product: Understand what you're using pagerduty for, and how best to use it's core ...

A great addition to the on-call toolbox
What do you like best? Pagerduty allows us to do the right level of alerting, to the right groups of people, and allow for escalation in case the initial notification is missed. What do you dislike? This isn't a negative against PagerDuty per se, but our monitoring software, unfortunately, doesn't have an API that allows us to directly interface the two--we have to use email parsing rules in order to properly flag and categorize alerts. What problems are you solving with the product? ...

PagerDuty Review
What do you like best? Real time pings and the app is good for what it needs to do. What do you dislike? The way schedules are shown isn't very intuitive. I would like one screen where I can easily see primary and secondary rotation schedules for the next couple months overlaid on a calendar. If I could drag and drop an engineer's segment to do an override, it would also be cool. Recommendations to others considering the product: Be sure to spend some time setting up teams and ...

Always notifies me of issues
What do you like best? PagerDuty does its main job really well: notifying me of alerts. I have a team of several engineers who are in various on call rotations and I trust PagerDuty completely to alert us if our systems fire off an alert to PagerDuty. The only times I've ever failed to get a notification from them it was because I had problems with cell networks. What do you dislike? All the extra stuff. PagerDuty is trying to be a bigger platform and do things other than delivering ...

What benefits have you realized? knowing who is on call for what and when - I can just page the responsible team, and not have to know which person to contact

Good customer service
What do you like best? Once I wrote a review and they contact me for suggestions of how to improve the service. What do you dislike? It takes a bit effort to understand how to set up schedules and change them temporarily, let's say when a user is on vacations Recommendations to others considering the product: Just try it What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We depend on this to prevent down times 24/7/365, or to know we're down quickly
