Use essbase for Reporting and analytics
What do you like best? the ability to dynamically aggregate and extract reports. Easy and quick load of outlines. Can have multiple alternate hierarchies which makes reporting flexible and easy. Easy to debug in case of load issues. What do you dislike? cannot build extensive FR reports using Essbase. Intriguing MD Cube
What do you like best? Simple, elegant, don't need to worry about DBA stuff What do you dislike? Can become huge, maintenance becomes manual (which has allowed people to do awesome stuff though!) What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Quarterly reporting.

What do you like best? connection to excel, drilldowns, dynamic calcs What do you dislike? having to execute calc scripts to aggregate some data. product is delivered to us with bugs that are very slowly fixed by oracle. Recommendations to others considering the product: keep on premise up to date, to save our investment in exalytics machines What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? LRP, budgets, capital planning, Investment planning.
