What do you like best? I have been both a business user and an admin of Essbase applications. The ease of use, flexibility of report building, ad hoc analysis, etc. is hard to match. What do you dislike? We have had some performance issues using attributes. It would be great if cube optimization was automated. I believe it is aided in the Cloud. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Budget analysis, ad hoc reporting, retail store KPIs

What do you like best? its simplicity and powerful aggregation capabilities. What do you dislike? it still does not allow more than 8 character in names. Frustrating and usefule
What do you like best? I really like some of the automation abilities for essbase and how it can simplify life for end users. I don't like that the automation isn't always able to handle errors or issues (MAXL MDX). What do you dislike? Essabase Road Map Presentation
What do you like best? I enjoyed the live demo of features that are in the works. I also enjoyed that we were given timelines on when the features would be available. What do you dislike? The time went very fast and not all the demos were completed. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use Essbase for our planning as well as a solution for our 606 Revenue waterfalls.

What do you like best? I can use Excel a product that I am already familiar with. Excel drill down and pivit tables work well with essbase. I have used essbase for nearly 20 years. What do you dislike? The fact that I have to install SmartView. Sometimes we have to assist customers that do not have administator rights on the laptop.
