I don't read ANYTHING which refers to "Black Friday", a completely nonsensical creation based on unhibited greed. I know it's hard for Americans, but you need occasionally to think beyond an obsession with making money and more about quality of life.

Time to click PAY! You may be charged for items you didn't know were there!
The web is good and easier to use than some. The snag is that I have on 3 occasions been billed for domain purchases I would NOT have bought had I been able to see cost. On one occasion, a renewal was added to a purchase without my knowing it had been added. You find the full price AFTER you pay for it. What happened to full disclosure? Must I contact a support person to verify the cost? I've removed auto-renew from all my domains but given the next review, that doesn't convince me that I ...

Namecheap is a great company to buy a domain. The customer service isn't that good though. Sometimes not really helpful, but if you have some knowledge then you should be fine. If you are a beginner I won't say you should stay away from it, but just expect to have not so helpful support. I mean they will still get your question answered. I think you get what I mean. Overall is recommended. I like the UI/UX, simple and easy to use, putting all the domains in Namecheap is definitely recommended.

auto-renewal fiasco
For the second time, NameCheap has auto-renewed domains when I have turned off auto-renewal. Somehow the auto-renewal setting magically resets to ON. This is the SECOND time this has happened to me. The first time I thought, OK perhaps it was user error. I specifically turned off ALL auto-renewals for all my domain names, yet once again I have been charged for a domain I no longer want. Privacy was bad
Privacy was bad, even though it is claimed they support EFF. A contact from my phonebook seemed to already have auto-invited himself and herself to my information, after using their VPN. :( It gets quite but already too leaked/too late. After I sent them the response of my data below, there were more attacks.
