Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Mural works best for distributed teams running synchronous workshops, design sprints, and brainstorming sessions where real-time co-editing matters. Before shortlisting, verify that your team can commit to live sessions—asynchronous workflows (leaving comments on static boards) feel clunky compared to tools like Miro or Figma. Check whether Mural's template ...Read more

Flexible, intentionally designed online whiteboarding solution with great customer support

What do you like best? MURAL is quick to pick up and has tons of resources available to up-level your game, with 60 second tips, downloadable books on facilitation, weekly "backstage passes" to some of the coolest companies using MURAL, and a great customer success team. What do you dislike? I really wish their shortcuts were more discoverable in context. It also lacks some of the personalized design options available in tools like Miro, but I honestly rarely miss them. What ...

MURAL MURAL You're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind

What do you like best? MURAL is like Powerpoint, Whiteboards, and G-Suite, on Steroids. Just with out the ragey side effects. I can pretty much run any meeting or presentation in MURAL all while allowing everyone else to be active participants vs sleeping participants. What do you dislike? My world has yet to accept it like Google. I tell people to use it and sometimes they say, no, looks complicated. To which I say, don't knock it until you try it. But still some people refuse ...

Easy and visual collaboration that makes an impact

What do you like best? Very easy to use, minimal friction to getting ideas and thoughts down on paper What do you dislike? There is allot of capability and shortcuts that you have to either know or find out which can continuously take you to the next level Recommendations to others considering the product: Take the time to learn the short cut keys and pan/zoom settings. Leverage the premade templates to get a start and get ideas. Make sure not to overlook the image and ...

Amazingly feature-rich replacement for face to face collaboration with students and colleagues.

What do you like best? Very easy onboarding and learning curve. What do you dislike? Wish the iPad app was as fully featured as the web app. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are a college program. One of our biggest hurdles when moving our program to remote delivery was addressing courses that required students and advisors to share a space to collaborate. It has addressed these initial needs and we are constantly ...

Support Software Developer Review

What do you like best? I like that multiple people can use it and it will update in live time. I also really like all of the available graphics, makes it way easier to set your board up in a way that you like. I also feel like MURAL is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Some softwares like this can make it difficult to move things around but I don't experience that issue when I use MURAL. What do you dislike? I haven't really found a way to apply it to my day to day. I feel like ...

Fast and versatile electronic whiteboard

What do you like best? Completely blank and configurable or using with templates, Mural works as good or better than a traditional whiteboard. What do you dislike? Font resizing is not the most smooth or intuitive, but the automatic system works well most of the time. Recommendations to others considering the product: Save on sticky notes and stop taking photos of whiteboards as you run to your next meeting, Mural is ready when you are. What problems are you solving ...

Mural - A wonderful collaboration tool!

What do you like best? Mural is easy to use and allows teams to come together easily and collaborate in a visual environment where ideas can quickly come to life. Mural also makes it easy, when collaborating to work in cohort and discuss ideas as they arise. What do you dislike? Occasionally, things get moved by the slip of a mouse. Remember CTRL+Z to undo and you will be fine. Recommendations to others considering the product: Highly recommended! Easy to use! Fully ...

Mural is my main tool for online whiteboard use cases. Reduced amount of tools, i need to handle.

What do you like best? Templates for many use cases, that are relevant to me. Low entry barrier for template-supported use cases. What do you dislike? Sometimes the locking is unclear to me, so participants unintentionally move parts, that should be fix. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? All kinds of online workshops, trainings, Scrum Events(Story Mapping etc). >50% lower effort with templates and guides compared to ...

Amazing tool for collaboration, ideation and remote meeting facilitation

What do you like best? The large Mural canvas allows participants to expand and grow their ideas while collaborating with peers. The ability to pull all attendees to your view is extremely beneficial to avoid lost participants. What do you dislike? Some of the shapes and diagramming capability is limiting and maybe a bit restrictive when trying to explore an idea that requires "back of a napkin" type artwork. Recommendations to others considering the product: I would ...
