Are you using MURAL?
Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Mural works best for distributed teams running synchronous workshops, design sprints, and brainstorming sessions where real-time co-editing matters. Before shortlisting, verify that your team can commit to live sessions—asynchronous workflows (leaving comments on static boards) feel clunky compared to tools like Miro or Figma. Check whether Mural's template ...Read more

Crashing Remote environment and bringing even more collaboration than ever!
What do you like best? Pretty intuitive, sleek tool that helps our global organization come together during this uneasy time and collaborate as never before. It helps in breaking silos, gives everyone a seat at the table, allows for synchronous and asynchronous work, accomodating the distributed nature of our teams. MURAL team is absolutely amazing at providing support! What do you dislike? I would like to see more design elements and options, especially for non-designers :) ...

Essential for remote collaboration work
What do you like best? MURAL helps our teams recreate all the things they would do around a whiteboard in the office. Since March our Agile feature teams have been working remotely due to COVID. Although video conferencing software and Jira/Confluence help a lot, the true value of fast progress and a shared understanding comes from visual real-time collaboration. For me, MURAL is the market leader in this respect. It's intuitive to use, and with infinitely sizeable boards, you can just ...

Cheap Miro knock-off with severe technical issues
What do you like best? What I like most about Mural is how easy it is to get people as guests onto a board. This is very helpfel when doing a large workshop with participants who do not have a Mural account. What do you dislike? The software is almost impossible to use. We tried it in a group of 10 and for at least half the people there was a delay of multiple minutes when someone dragged a post-it note from a to b. This led to a lot of accidental movement an chaos. For some ...

Great tool for virtual collaboration sessions.
What do you like best? Mural is really intuitive and user-friendly. It has also been planned quite well, but is not unnecessarily designed in such a way that innovations are not blocked by excessive capital. I love how it helps teams to build their own way of working, and it also feels cohesive. The training resources are excellent, in particular the frequency of live training and backstage training is incredibly useful for fast on-board training. What do you dislike? Can't copy ...

Our Digitally Limitless Brainspace
What do you like best? It's perpetual availability and the limitless possibilities it provides our teams, wherever they are located, to come up with solutions and innovative ideas. We've run dozens of projects and every time we use it there's some new and exciting way to leverage its technology. It has saved hundreds of hours of back-and-forth emails, calls, and meetings simply by allowing us to have our own shared desk/whiteboard/chat. Probably the most notable improvement is how ...

Unique and creative
What do you like best? its easy to add images and use positions to describe relations. Great for brainstorming and then organizing ideas. What do you dislike? Its hard to use on a laptop, like accidentally resizing or dragging elements instead of moving the screen. Recommendations to others considering the product: It is great for visual teamwork. The image tool is great as its easy to find stock photos to represent your point. What problems are you solving with the ...

The best way to get people across the globe in the same room for ideation!
What do you like best? Many people have experience with ideation sessions in person and in the same room. But what if you can't do that? What if you want people from different offices, states, or countries to participate without blowing the budget? Mural makes it really easy. Everyone can share idea live, break out in groups as needed, circle back to murals and rooms between sessions if needed, and feel like they are part of the greater team and greater good. It's intuitive to use ...

The best for doing work not just talking.
What do you like best? Collaborative, distributed creativity... What do you dislike? There is a learning curve due to its power. Recommendations to others considering the product: I am constantly sharing MURAL with people who lead or create work through a distributed team structure. Test with a small team for CREATING something actually needed. Note how much can be done that a typical Zoom or other Application does not provide for. Zoom is for talking, MURAL is for ...

A great tool for frictionless, visual collaboration
What do you like best? MURAL allows participants to quickly contribute to a shared workspace, enabling rapid, nuanced and frictionless collaboration. Coupled with Zoom and/or Microsoft teams, it allows us to run co-creation sessions remotely, which is an absolute must in the post-covid world of remote working. It's growing library of practical frameworks and templates mean that it's easy to quickly configure a workspace for even a complex and involved sessions for large numbers ...

Solves so many problems
What do you like best? • Relieves the logistical pain of doing in-person sprints: Rounding up Post-Its, sharpies, rooms with whiteboard space, collecting Post-Its afterward, flying people in from other offices, and managing a large group • Preparing a sprint space is done in minutes in a Mural rather than booking large conference rooms, carrying around supplies, and setting things up beforehand • The entire sprint session can be laid out before the participants so they can see ...
