Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Mural works best for distributed teams running synchronous workshops, design sprints, and brainstorming sessions where real-time co-editing matters. Before shortlisting, verify that your team can commit to live sessions—asynchronous workflows (leaving comments on static boards) feel clunky compared to tools like Miro or Figma. Check whether Mural's template ...Read more

"Awesome collaborating tool!"

What do you like best about Mural? I love the aesthetics and how easy it is to use. Scrolling and hovering around the Mural is great, and I like the keyboard shortcuts to duplicate, connect, and so on. Another great thing is that I can copy Artboards on Sketch and just paste on Mural, this is a great feature. The icons are also great, but I don't use them as much as the post-its. What do you dislike about Mural? Minor stability issues when collaborating is a problem, and also navigating ...

"Absolutely love it."

What do you like best about Mural? I love to use the celebration feature at the end of workshops as it is a lovely surprise and ends a workshop on a lovely note. But i also have a lot of other favourite features. For example, I think that the ability to drag in LUMA worksheets is pretty incredible and solves alot of admin as you don't have to copy and paste, or screenshot the worksheets from the LUMA website. As a result it is a must have for organisations who want to work and think ...

"A must for digital user research"

What do you like best about Mural? Mural brings a really robust and thoughtful set of tools to help facilitate workshops and user research, but it presents itself cleanly and clearly. The learning curve to start using Mural is very appealing because you can start using it to add value right away. And, over time, you master the functionality to get even more out of it. I really like some of the basic features like double-clicking to generate a new sticky note, vote castings, etc. And some of ...

"Mural is an ideal tool for remote collaboration"

What do you like best about Mural? Mural has very limited barriers to entry. Just post a link and folks can join. Mural has opened doors for me at my organization I never thought were possible. It's granted me exposure to senior leadership while creating forums of discussion and opportunities for junior staff and the peers on my team. What do you dislike about Mural? Commenting can be tricky. It's difficult to access comments for new users - perhaps a more intuitive conversation forum for ...

"Great for team and product activities"

What do you like best about Mural? The best thing for me is that I can group all the work of a session in a single wall, I can choose different frameworks or tools without leaving context and I have multiple options to facilitate effectively What do you dislike about Mural? On one occasion I tried to download files from a wall to reuse them and when I opened the downloaded files, I realized that there were only some that I could use. I would like to know which ones can be downloaded to ...

"Great way to stay connected and collaborative while working from home!"

What do you like best about Mural? All of the tools are great, sticky notes, 'emojis', GIFS! What more could you ask for? What do you dislike about Mural? I wish it was easier to place PDF's and be able to crop/edit directly in mural. Recommendations to others considering Mural: Its a great easy tool to use if you need to collaborate over a digital platform. Easy to use with little to no learning curve. What problems is Mural solving and how is that benefiting you? It has helped my team ...

"Using Mural regularly for scrum ceremonies. Its a great brainstorming tool for co-working"

What do you like best about Mural? Collaboration features are really great in Mural. It helps to have my whole scrum team work together to refine sprint tasks Ability to paste images is super helpful. It makes for fun retrospectives Ability to follow people makes it easy to follow along when the scrum master or PM is showcasing a complex process on Mural and instead of having to move the document ourselves we are just allowed to sit back and follow, while the tool does the rest Ability for ...
