Visio Makes Creating Organized Flowcharts Easy as Pie

What do you like best? I absolutely love how easy and intuitive Visio was to pick up and learn! At first I was nervous to use it since I had never opened or used the program before, but within minutes I was creating flowcharts that looked professional. I find it easy to add in screenshots, or content blocks, change their shape, color code and coordinate them and then connect them using the connector tool. It truly is a tool that anyone can learn with little to no training at all. What do ...

Visio. A classic and still the "go to" diagram/mapping software

What do you like best? Visio is classic. Pretty much everyone has heard of it and it's used by countless people for a good reason. Visio is amazing at what it does. You can keep it simple and use it to just make some basic diagrams, or your can get fairly complex and tag a ton of metadata into your objects. I really built out Visio is much more than just a visual representation, it's a quite robust form of documentation when used to it's full extent. But! If all you want to do is make a ...

What do you like best? Visio has got an intuitive and easy to understand user interface. When using Visio,I practically get spoilt for choice at the sheer amount of template available for me to choose from.Has a very similar concept to Microsoft PowerPoint and thus when I first started using this tool,I had a very short learning curve with it. What do you dislike? I am unable to send my diagrams created in Visio standard format to project partners, because it isn't commonly used : thus I ...

Easy to use intuitive software for creating beautiful flow charts

What do you like best? I find the software very intuitive and easy to experiment with. They provide an assortment of templates, but it is very easy to create a new flow chart from scratch, by drawing a starting shape and using connector lines. If you are already familiar with designing powerpoint diagrams, the concept is similar, except with Visio, it is much more effortless to align objects, and the software will automatically expand your figure onto another page if necessary. What do you ...

Technical but needs some user-friendly work

What do you like best? I like how custom it can be. Visio has the capability to be specific by using actual equipment and engineering symbols or vague by using plain shapes. This is great because we can modify diagrams to the audience whether they are technical or big picture viewers. What do you dislike? I dislike how frustrating the connections can be between two or more items. Sometimes the snap on feature will not connect at the correct point and will automatically connect elsewhere ...

Network and flow diagrams

What do you like best? Large number of manufacturer specific templates, easy to use when developing basic network diagrams and brainstorming. Very popular with IT staff so often times they can provide initial diagrams at early stage of project. What do you dislike? Some limitations when exporting to autocad as well as when scaling drawing size up or down. Have not seen much improvement from Microsoft on this product. Monthly cost when adding to office365 accounts seems a little overpriced ...
