MS SQL is the best RDBMS

What do you like best? What I like best in MS SQL, like any other Microsoft product, is the simple and easy to use user-interface (I guess most of us are familiar with Windows. I can make queries and scripts easily and without any trouble. Basic SQL knowledge is required. What I love most about MS SQL is the Profiler. It's very handy and it helped me a lot when debugging apps. It allows you to see what's "happening" on the server, what scripts are executed, along with the parameters, ...

SQL makes it much easier

What do you like best? I like that SQL makes it much easier to pull up the reports I need for a customer or employee. For many of the queries I run on SQL, I had to run as many as 6 or 7 queries on our cyberquery program to get all the information I needed. What do you dislike? Sometimes, the join conditions when designing the query automatically link up with whatever SQL thinks the tables should be linked up by but is almost always wrong. We have to remove the connection and join with ...

the best database server.

What do you like best? Queries are easy to execute and it is very convenient to create new servers. The best thing is that the queries can be executed even if the database is not connected to the server. It includes a large number of tools to work with data that include import, export, SSIS, SSMS, TSQL and more. You can build your own custom modules that will be integrated directly into the server. Users can write their own applications around them, but it is often used to support other ...

One of the Best ETL Tools for SMBs

What do you like best? The top point that comes to my mind about SQL Server Integration Services is that it is a part of the SQL Server Data Tools which can be downloaded for free as mentioned here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/ssdt/download-sql-server-data-tools-ssdt?view=sql-server-2017 + I was able to download the SQL Server Data Tools for Free, and connect to our SQL Server Enterprise Edition and we never had to worry about the extra cost for buying an ETL Tool. What do you ...

Easy to use with tons of features

What do you like best? I've used a number of DBMS tools but the thing that stands out to me in regards to SSMS is the ability to analyze execution plans. Not very many DBMS tools have this and the ones that do are not as good. Along with that, having code complete is another awesome feature. As long as it isn't an Azure SQL db, code complete works really well and is very fast. What do you dislike? Without a 3rd party add on, there is no code complete when working with an Azure SQL cloud ...
