Collaboration and backups

What do you like best? I really loved the ease of sharing documents, files, pdfs, and images across the department and across geographies even. Everything is synced and there is even the ability for real-time multi access to documents. They are synced in near live time and multiple people can work on it at the same time. This was very impressive and very advantageous. In my discipline there are a lot of standards and documents to consider. What do you dislike? Sometimes it ...

An excellent cooperation platform

What do you like best? In situation of SharePoint, I appreciate the most the chance of sharing files and screens so that a prospect or maybe coworker is able to see what's shown on the screen of mine. It is then easier to manage meetings, especially when 2 individuals are actually in several locations. What do you dislike? You are able to arrange tasks by folder ; however, you can't move previously uploaded files to a brand new folder. Recommendations to others considering ...

Effective and Usable, but not 100% modern

What do you like best? It is very easy to post articles! I also like the tagging system, which makes it easier to tie document to specific pages on the site. What do you dislike? The design of the site, at least at my company, is not very modern. The blocks of content look dated. Recommendations to others considering the product: There is a bit of a learning curve when getting to know how to be an admin, but once you get the hang of it, it's really not too hard. It's a ...

Best alternate to regular shared drives

What do you like best? Sharepoint is the best alternative to our shared drives. Its easy to upload or download any type of file. It is smooth and the ui is clean. Its integration with microsoft office apps like word and excel makes it easier to view or edit file with one click. We can share our files easily with shareable links or even send a mail directly to the target person. We can send an alert to our team when a file is uploaded and ready to use. Files and folders are safe and ...

Great new sharepoint

Amazing Collaboration Solution

What do you like best? It is a platform and not a product. You can build products on top of this platform. Extensibility, reliability and API support is the key. Search, version control and other features are embedded to the product. What do you dislike? Can be complex. Need a knowledge curve. This can be complicated for users. Without proper implementation, users will not like the product What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

I have a love hate relashionship with SharePoint

What do you like best? When used properly it is a great tool for sharing content, knowledge and a time saver since you can easily search and find the content you need without needing to ask a coworker about a topic and since it is internal to the company and secure by modern standards is a great way to store sensitive content. What do you dislike? Please learn the difference between a private and public link. I was also guilty of this as many of my coworkers but just because it ...

SharePoint is a total success for large files.

What do you like best? Heavy files well managed, everything is stored excellently and without problems. Basically Microsoft SharePoint has gone one step further into the cloud, everything is securely backed up. It is not complex to use and it synchronizes with many platforms. What do you dislike? I don't like that on some operating systems I have had installation problems. The support is practically not fast at all. Recommendations to others considering the product: I ...

Your Best Online Resource

What do you like best? Sharepoint is so versatile and efficient. It brings several qualities to the table: Dynamic, Plenty of Storage, Built-in add-on apps, resourcefulness. Share your reports easily with peers

What do you like best? The best thing about SharePoint in my opinion is the ability to share your work across the internet. At my workplace, I have created many reports that many of my peers use. It is super easy to set everything up whether it is a report or working file that many people need to access and modify. The big gap that Microsoft Excel has left in terms of collaborative editing, is totally filled with SharePoint. What do you dislike? The biggest disadvantage is the ...
