MS Project Review

What do you like best? Intuitive program - very similar functionality to the rest of MS Office Suite. Loads quickly and allows users to export to meaningful reports What do you dislike? Still clunky when importing large projects with hundreds of lines for WBS and GANTT view. Each user requires a license unless there is a enterprise EULA. Becomes cost prohibitive to roll out site wide and inhibits the ability for all people to pull up files quickly Recommendations to others considering ...

The old guard: OK for project planning but horrible for project execution

What do you like best? Was the reference standard back in the day when "PMI-certified project manager would puff up their chest, bragging how deep a project plan they could create" was cool. What do you dislike? Cludgey to put together a working solution. Overkill for 95% of projects you actually want to deliver. Not deep enough for construction and engineering projects. You need 100 different MS tool to get it off the ground (yes, I know they're all "free" with MSDN but at what true ...

Microsoft Project Review

What do you like best? Microsoft project offers an exceptional platform to organize task and resources. I have used it to create a Work Breakdown Structure - it's a functional platform that provides templates for use if needed. The project timeline view offers a new way to look at project phases and view milestones. What do you dislike? For a first time user this platform is difficult. It requires hours and days of training to fully comprehend everything this is possible with this ...

Helpful too to add to your Microsoft toolbox

What do you like best? The ability to organize documents and project plans more easily. What do you dislike? It was a little difficult to understand all the features. Recommendations to others considering the product Recommend to both small and large teams to work in conjunction with project coordination and project management. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Perfect for Creating Project Timelines efficiently

What do you like best? It is very user friendly, allows you to adjust schedules quickly, assign resources. I haven't even tapped into half of the software's capability but it helps me get organized. What do you dislike? The biggest issue I have found is finding a good way to display it on a projector screen without having to tweak display settings. I want a presentation mode or something that would make it easy. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Microsoft Project & Portfolio Management Review

What do you like best? Ease of use, great interface and obvious tie in to the Microsoft product line of products. This product has helped to organize and keep projects on track with resources and planning. So many times we have struggled with resource planning for internal and customer projects and with this tool, it has made that process easier and streamlined. What do you dislike?
