Useful for managing projects, but gets less "love" from Microsoft than other Office products

What do you like best? The tool automatically adjusts dependencies and timings as you move items around. It is very quick and perfectly accurate. There is a bit of a learning curve to get the dates to set correctly, but once done, it is a very easy tool to make small adjustments to and see how it affects the schedule. What do you dislike? The program on a whole is not very intuitive. There is a steep learning curve to getting timings set correctly. Setting up a new template is very ...

Microsoft Project

What do you like best? I liked that in theory you could manage multiple projects in this software What do you dislike? I disliked how encumbered this software was and how involved it was for a Microsoft product. Recommendations to others considering the product Make it more simple to use. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? None. We wanted to use it to manage government projects that we were involved in, but it was too involved.

If the project is too large and you have a lot of activities this will not be handy. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Great for time & calendar mgt

What do you like best? Easily swap in and out tasks. The auto-schedule function is also very handy. What do you dislike? Can be a bit clunky at times. I use Excel a lot as well, and I find a lot of the things I take for granted in excel are not transferable. Recommendations to others considering the product I only really scratch the surface of what it's capable of. It can do so much more, but I don't really need it to right now. What business problems are you solving with the ...
