Best tool for Project Planning
What do you like best? You can download and use different types of ready to use templates, which will make your work easy. You can create different types of charts like cliental or organize paper work. Reporting feature is great and it has option to export to different format. What do you like best? Starting a project is very easy, the functionality to get started is a great foundation. What do you dislike? More complex projects could be harder to manage. Hard to Learn, Great Once You've Learned It
What do you like best? I use the gantt chart software extensively as well as auto-scheduling tasks in my projects. What do you dislike? It is really hard to learn this software, and some of the reports should be more customization. What do you like best? Good in terms of project management of timelines and deliverables in the SDLC cycle What do you dislike? Everyone uses it but software is mediocre at best
What do you like best? I like that this program is easily recognized by my customers as a valuable tool for scheduling projects. The Gantt Chart feature provides a good bird's eye view. What do you dislike? Some of the default settings (fonts, colors, where your cursor appears after you open a dialogue box, etc. are terrible. I cannot believe that a well-known brand like Microsoft would allow this! Recommendations to others considering the product Be prepared to do lots of Googling ...

Microsoft Project
What do you like best? Project is very helpful for understanding critical path. What do you dislike? Project is not 100% intuitive and also it sometimes uses a lot of my CPU for no reason. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I am using the application for capital project management. I have been able to use it to manage timelines.

Large Learning Curve
What do you like best? I like it's similarity and compatible with the other Microsoft products. It allows you to feel comfortable with the interface as it's already something you recognize. What do you dislike? To use it fully with most of it's functions requires a huge learning curve in comparison with the other Microsoft products.
