using MS project for utiliy scheduling
What do you like best? It is intuitive easy to learn and easy to share with colleagues . easy to talk management into buying What do you dislike? cost inability to translate into primavera when I need to and we use primavera with certain clients What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Sceduling designers and engieers effectively. Getting everyone on the same page and understanding why they have to stay on schedule

Fairly easy to use
What do you like best? The is pretty easy to use. If you have used Excel, you can pick this up fairly quickly. What do you dislike? I didn't really find anything I disliked. It took a bit to figure everything out, but nothing unreasonable. Recommendations to others considering the product If you've used Excel, then you should be good with Project. A bit of a learning curve, but worth it!
What do you like best? It was very easy to download and the entire set-up process only took about 15 minutes (I already had a Microsoft Office account, so it may take a bit longer for those who do not. I love how easy it is to format schedules and makes it simple to collaborate with others on a group project. What do you dislike? MS Project - Standard PM Tool
What do you like best? The tool itself is standard and has not changed from many of the prior versions. The good news is that its pretty straightforward to use if you're familiar with project management rules (dependency tracking, baselining, etc. What do you dislike? Good for Schedules, not so good when trying to integrate
What do you like best? Gantt Chart capability is excellent. Easy to see tasks that should be done in-series and in-parallel. What do you dislike? Very Poor date management - when changing the due date of one task the dates of all tasks tied to it change automatically and it is difficult to undo that if it's not wanted . What do you like best? The best part of this software is ease of use and great tools to work with. What do you dislike? I can't say there is anything I have came across yet that I dislike. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I have been able to keep assignments organized. Great way to layout plans.

Long time pm mostly used ms project standalone initially then server based when it arrived
What do you like best? easy to use easy to train on easy to set up easy to share What do you dislike? expense to buy is high especially for small shops law firms for example Recommendations to others considering the product try it first abd get full committment from IT and business before installing What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? tracking managing projects or programs ensure dates are met or you know when off target

Great for managing projects and deadlines
What do you like best? The ability to manage multiple projects and keep track of timelines and deadlines, love features like templates and collaboration for projects What do you dislike? Sometimes it feels too clumsy to use and does not really fit well in an agile environment What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? What do you like best? Easy and intuitive, similar to other Office Family products. Good results in very short time, even if you are not quite experienced What do you dislike? I am missing option to assign project TASKS directly to Outlook Tasks. EXPLANATION: It used to work in old version of Project, and looks like "Project Server" componenct is required now in v2013.
