Lever pros and cons

  • Automates and streamlines repetitive recruitment tasks like scheduling, email management, and interview feedback, saving time and improving efficiency.

  • Intuitive, user-friendly interface with minimal training needed, enabling quick adoption across teams, including non-technical users.

  • Enhances collaboration and transparency within hiring teams and stakeholders by centralizing information and processes.

  • Offers useful features like bulk actions, nurture campaigns, built-in templates, and Chrome extensions for increased productivity.

  • Customer support post-implementation is inconsistent and unresponsive at times, leading to delays in issue resolution.

  • Limited customization options for workflows, scorecards, and career pages, which may not meet the needs of larger organizations or advanced use cases.

Minimal support for out of the box recruiting

What do you like best? It gets the job done. Their support team is very responsive at providing support "where they can." What do you dislike? Minimal support to help the system adapt to business needs. Support center can only plug standard adjustments. Recommendations to others considering the product: More support to help companies adapt Lever to their needs. Lever needs to be more malluable. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Simple Integration with current HRIS

What do you like best? The integration between Lever and Workday was simple to set up. We provided the requirements to Lever and their API was able to deliver all of the requirements we had for pulling the Hire information into Workday. What do you dislike? The system seems to be a bit glitchy. In our first week of going live we had issues email directly from the system and had to send offers manually via outlook email. What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Useful recruitment tool, ocassional bugs

What do you like best? I like that it connects easily to LinkedIn for importing candidates. It also makes it easy to search through and tag existing candidates. What do you dislike? The extension only works for Chrome, which is not really an issue for me as Chrome is my primary browser. I've been having issues with existing candidates not popping up on LinkedIn. When I'm on the LinkedIn page of an existing candidate, the Lever extension prompts me to create a new profile, rather ...

Good Resource

What do you like best? Lever has a good setup for reviewing candidates What do you dislike? The reporting functions are no good. There's no structure for sources of candidates and they don't separate candidate profiles from jobs so candidates show up everywhere. Boolean searches are impossible. Recommendations to others considering the product: Its good if you only need to track candidates real time. Re-sourcing candidates and reporting isn't the best. What problems are ...

Competent app

What do you like best? Easy to track status of applicant through hiring process What do you dislike? Requires some setup and customization to fully utilize the app. Cannot track one candidate for multiple roles adequately - have to archive then unarchive - should be by role applied for, not candidate as a whole. Would love a timeline view on one page of everything for a candidate - applied, interviewed, declined, etc - with enough detail to avoid having to go into each item ...

What do you like best? I love how easy Lever is to use. Usability is 100% and I love how it integrates with my google calendar. It took me only a couple of days to get comfortable with Lever. What do you dislike? Sometimes it crashes or is not working properly and it makes it hard to be productive. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It is so easy to keep updated with where a candidate is located in the process with us. Keeps me ...

Allows us to focus on the most important parts of recruiting

What do you like best? It is super simple to use, which allows for easy adoption from hiring managers and interviewers. It allows us to stay extremely organized and not miss a single candidate that applies to one of our jobs. We love how it is a one-stop-shop for all things recruiting. What do you dislike? The user settings function is a little tricky and less intuitive. Also, sometimes Lever struggles with the Google calendar integration but other than that, no real complaints! ...
