Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Lever pros and cons

  • Automates and streamlines repetitive recruitment tasks like scheduling, email management, and interview feedback, saving time and improving efficiency.

  • Intuitive, user-friendly interface with minimal training needed, enabling quick adoption across teams, including non-technical users.

  • Enhances collaboration and transparency within hiring teams and stakeholders by centralizing information and processes.

  • Offers useful features like bulk actions, nurture campaigns, built-in templates, and Chrome extensions for increased productivity.

  • Customer support post-implementation is inconsistent and unresponsive at times, leading to delays in issue resolution.

  • Limited customization options for workflows, scorecards, and career pages, which may not meet the needs of larger organizations or advanced use cases.

Great ATS Platform

What do you like best? I have used multiple ATS programs and Lever is by far one of the easiest and most complete I have used. Very intuitive and easy to use, good tracking capabilities and the visual layout is very appealing. What do you dislike? I would suggest working on being able to use other video conferencing programs and being able to push job postings to other common positing sites, like Indeed or LinkedIn. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits ...

Game changer to hire and nurture candidates

What do you like best? Team collaboration, possibility to customize, focus on saving time for people involved in the hiring process, integrations with other tools, the onboarding was smooth and the support team is very responsive What do you dislike? Some things are not customizable by job (interview steps for example) and the fact that most integrations are premium features What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are providing a ...

A Good Starting Point...

What do you like best? I love the fact that Lever.co is candidate-centric - keeping everything related to a candidate in a single record along with copies of every interaction across every job. Additionally, the system has a slick interface that makes it feel modern and allows for lots of customization on the front-end as part of your job board (if you have the developers or resources to do it). What do you dislike? Don't let some of the bells and whistles and big-name early ...

Lever works great, but there's room for improvement

What do you like best? I like that Lever comes with a CRM and you can nurture candidates that aren't going to be hired right away. The scheduling is intuitive for our coordinators and I like the linkedIn integration. What do you dislike? The platform is candidate focused instead of job focused and it's very hard to gather meaningful metrics that we can gain insights from with our data out of Lever. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Great User Interface and CRM Capabilities but Questionable Sales Tactics

What do you like best? The user interface is highly intuitive. Hiring managers and recruiters easily learn the system with minimal training. I love the Leads section and how easy it is to add resumes in a way that is OFCCP compliant. The interview feedback and templates are very helpful. What do you dislike? I was overpromised a lot of features during the sales process. Ultimately, we are paying for their shady dealings and lost out on a lot of time because we will now have to go ...

Managing thousands of candidates

What do you like best? Integration with LinkedIn, email, custom flow for our needs, team access for collaboration. What do you dislike? Extensions are buggy, a lot of plugins to integrate with our other tools are on a premium tier of service. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Lever helps us manage our recruitment pipeline.

Very user friendly with a lot of opportunities

What do you like best? I appreciate the integration and extraction feature that happens when you upload a resume and how the details of said resume auto-populate. What do you dislike? I dislike the look and feel of Lever and I feel like it could be a lot neater. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Lever completely changed the way that we track candidates and let things live in a centralized location and remind people to complete ...

Useful and concise recuriting tool

What do you like best? Implementation was quick, the tool is easy to navigate, and I love the integration with LinkedIn. What do you dislike? Our sub-divisions have a separate email domain and can't use Lever without substantial additional costs. Recommendations to others considering the product: Plan out your idea applicant tracking and recruiting flow, and ask the specialist doing the demonstration of the product to show how the portal would support your desired flow. ...

Very intuitive and modern tracking system

What do you like best? The ease of using the tools - the platform is very integrated with LinkedIn and with outlook calendar, everything is so easy to use together. It really does increase efficiency! What do you dislike? Duplicate candidate profiles - the only way it can differentiate a person is via the email address, wish it would take into consideration the linkedin since most of the candidates are inputted via LinkedIn for me. Recommendations to others considering the ...
