What is KeyShot?
KeyShot is a rendering application built for product design and manufacturing rather than architecture. Its emphasis is materials — a large scientifically measured material library and straightforward drag-and-drop assignment — which is what product visualization lives or dies on when the render has to represent a real anodised finish or a specific plastic. It imports from the major CAD systems including SolidWorks, Rhino, Creo, Inventor and NX, and renders on CPU or GPU. It is the common choice for product-level detail where architecture-focused engines are less precise about materials.
