Great way to boost IT capabilities in a multi-platform environment

What do you like best? What I love most about JumpCloud is that it works great with both Mac and PC. What do you dislike? The admin page is not mobile friendly at all and I have had to use it from my phone on a couple of occasions. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? In our company we use a fix between the two and historically it was difficult to manage machines. We have had multiple occasions where an employee leaves the company ...

JumpCloud saves me a ton of money and resources

What do you like best? I like that I can jump start my AD in a snap and not know much of the complexities involved. It is highly likely that we will be using the service in the long run because of its very hard to beat price to service ratio. But when you have Jump Cloud at your disposal, t feels like you are a large company. Price-wise, it has a very low upfront cost and with very little risk involve for many startup and small-medium business owners. I also like that integration ...

Organize the Chaos

What do you like best? We don't want to run AD or other on premise directory services, JumpCloud easily allows us to manage users, groups, policies, etc all with ease. JumpCloud allows us to govern our users with polices that are needed to ensure our staff meet our security policies and procedures. What do you dislike? The Windows client leaves much to be desired. It's hard to get folks to understand the method to change passwords via the windows client alone. Mac's client is much ...

Simple Cloud Directory Service

What do you like best? Ability to run remote commands and manage Macs. SSO capabilities. What do you dislike? Difficulties or complexity with auto-provisioning. Would like to see built in simple onboarding and offboarding. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Management of Macs. No longer need AD and on-premise servers.

Easy Mode

What do you like best? It's very easy to get most systems setup on Jumpcloud. It helps to keep systems and users organized. What do you dislike? I really can't think of anything proper to put here. We have two accounts that randomly get locked every once in a while, but this might actually be a brute force attack on that system. This is probably not really a Jumpcloud problem and it's a very minor inconvenience. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...

What do you like best? Using it is simple. With knowledge base article it is easy to implement in any heterogeneous environment. What do you dislike? Still lacking some group profile features What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Replace an active directory in the cloud when I have no servers on my local network

All in one solution for modern IT

What do you like best? The fact that it supports all major platforms, and provides practical, easy to use solutions. What do you dislike? Because the product is relatively new and it supports so many platforms, there aren't as many options, policies, etc for each platform. Recommendations to others considering the product: It is definitely a great tool for those looking to spend more time improving IT infrastructure and less time maintaining outdated Directory solutions. ...

simple and effective

What do you like best? It's single place to manage all users across multiple machines and OS's, support has been very responsive when needed and its been easy to roll out making our fleet of windows and linux servers, macOS and Windows workstations much easier to manage. What do you dislike? Whilst there is an event API to capture access audit information for managed systems there is no built in reporting which would be a nice feature. It would also be nice to have some more ...

Easy to deployment of Windows, Mac machines

What do you like best? I like the ability to set up Windows and Mac machines with local accounts; configuring software, file shares, and printers; and then overlaying Jumpcloud at the conclusion of setup, using a matching user alias. This allows the user to log on with his/her machine with a secure/private password. I then transmit the user's account to other devices. What do you dislike? The SSO catalog is still limited. However we plan to request additional applications. What ...
