I've used Gusto payroll at several companies over several years and find the payroll service to be generally excellent. We started using Gusto's commuter benefits in mid-2019 and that is a different story. Gusto announced recently that they had not but would now follow IRS guidelines and changed their requirements for reimbursing expense incurred not using the provided benefit card. AVOID IF YOU LIKE EASY PAYROLLS
I work for Two Marines Moving. We are a Veteran Owned and operated Company that has been in business for 12 years. We have about 80 employees most of which are Veterans of the United States Armed services. For 11 ½ of those 12 years we have used 2 other payroll companies with no issues and were extremely happy. Run From Gusto
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Employees can log in and see their paycheck. I have nothing else to add. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Everything else. The transition from our old company was terrible. They did not move over data separated by category (regular pay, overtime, personal time, etc..) everything was lumped into regular pay thus when needing to complete VOE\'s for employees you can\'t decipher how much overtime, bonus, vacation, ...

We upgraded our insurance offerings…
We upgraded our insurance offerings using Gusto as our broker. It was nothing but a nightmare. They never cancelled out the old insurance so we were getting bills from the insurance which we cancelled. On the employees portals, they did not truly show the employee's correct Membership ID with the insurance companies. They merely provided the xxx-xxx-and the last 4 of the person's social security number. They did not mail out any of the new insurance ID cards. Each of our employees had to ...

We have used Gusto for a year
We have used Gusto for a year. There have been a few issues here and there. A couple of times reaching out to support I seemed to have gotten at least 2 reps that were not sure of a solution to either problem I had. That was not helpful. And then I had actually corrected one rep when they stated wrong info to me that I already knew. However! These past 3 months our customer service has been excellent. Gusto over ADP all day
What do you like best? A previous employer used ADP and it was impossible to get to the information I cared about. The homepage needed to be manually set up and never happened. The last two companies I've worked for use Gusto and it's great. I haven't had any problems signing in and all the info I care about is right there. Boom. Big fan of their UX design-- keep it simple. What do you dislike? Nothing. You are crushing it. It would be cool to have a path to find in-network care. ...

Terrible 401k provider
Their 401k provider Guideline charges ridiculous fees for a rollover ($50) and traps your residual dividends in the account (if that doesn't add up to $50). They're claiming to be "low-cost" but charge you $50 to issue a check when it would cost cents to transfer money via ACH. Plus they charge $5+/month to continue holding your assets there when you leave your employer. Don't believe their startup marketing crap and find another provider.

Simple, easy to use
What do you like best? I can easily find pay stubs and hours that I have worked. When needing to prove verification of employment, it took me seconds to find what I need. What do you dislike? I honestly haven’t seen any downsides to using this software as of this time.
