A solid, well maintained Photoshop alternative that doesn't disappoint

What do you like best? GIMP is a strong image editor (raster based that is more than capable of fulfilling most needs. What do you like best? What do you like best? I like that developers are always improving on the user experience. There is a bit of a learning curve between using GIMP vs Photoshop, but once you get the hand of the controls, developers are made sure to give designers enough tools to not miss the expensive alternative. What do you like best? I appreciate that this is an adequate alternative to Photoshop for us less monetarily inclined. Very stable and clear to use

What do you like best? It is very easy software to use, it has many and simple tools. The interface is transparent and not difficult to learn. What do you dislike? It does not develop in any ways. And gimp is lack of few more proffesional tools. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I did many textures for my models in Gimp. Its good softwere to correct colors and retouch renders.

Horrible tool

You need to be prepared to spend a lot time reading guides, forums, look youtube videos to be able to use this program.I have used Gimp for some years after reinstall it was impossible to get the Gimp set up as I had before. And after a few hours I gave up. I tried get help on their facebook page but it was very condecending and bad replies.The tool boxes just appears and disappeared as they seem fit.
