Nice free graphics program

What do you like best? I like Gimp because it's open source software. It's compatible with many operating systems. I like to use it to edit photos and to make my own graphic tags and graphic designs. What do you dislike? Seems to be slower with Windows 10 as far as starting up the software application. Other than that,I have no problems with it. Recommendations to others considering the product Give it a try. It's a free program. What business problems are you solving with the ...

Opensource does the job!

What do you like best? GIMP performs all the basic graphic editing functions I need done without spending hundreds of dollars. At my office, I sometimes need light graphics work and being in healthcare we are not looking to spend funds on unnecessary software. What do you dislike? Sometimes finding certain effects requires some hunting & pecking, but it's there! Also do not like that GIMP 2 you cannot just save to use another format asides from xcf and must go to Export. Another step as ...

Professional Quality Graphic Design Tool

What do you like best? I use GIMP practically every day. I'm not a professional graphic designer but in my line of work, I need to modify and update graphics frequently. And I need to create quick graphics for social content that need to look great but aren't important enough to bring in the designer. GIMP does a great job for all of this and the results look as professional as any other top design software. What do you dislike? GIMP can be a bit buggy at times but closing/reopening ...

Powerful but big learning curve

What do you like best? GIMP is photoshop, but without the user experience. It can do almost everything Photoshop can, but the navigation takes a while to learn. After a few video tutorials, you'll know where everything is but it'll still take time to learn how to use the tools themselves (just like photoshop. What do you dislike? GIMP is really tough to navigate as a new user. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We need photo editing ...

The Operation Center for Images

What do you like best? Its easy and intuitive, with a good looking flat skin. A Fast simple and complete tool to generate, adjust and edit images. What do you dislike? The actions, filters and FX are kind of distant, in general , on this kind of programs. I also think that, the brushes and all the painting tools could be improved. Recommendations to others considering the product Is the best basic tool for generation, edition, and adjustment of images. What business problems are you ...

Recommendations to others considering the product Use GIMP prior to buying more sophisticated and expensive software. What business problems are you ...

Free Alternative to Photoshop

What do you like best? First and foremost, you have to appreciate the fact that it is a free alternative to Photoshop. Though lacking the type of support Photoshop has for vectors and a few of Photoshop's shinier capabilities (multi-layer selection, layer organization, etc., I like that the similarities in tools and interface allowed me to easily learn how to navigate it. I also like the various file formats it supports. What do you dislike? In the span of the two-month period that I ...

Gimp, good enough for me

What do you like best? It's free, it allow's me to do basic photo editing and re-sizing as that's all I need. What do you dislike? I hate photoshop, so I kind of hate Gimp, but there is no world in which I'm willing to pay Adobe any longer, so Gimp it is as I need it. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? My needs are basic, and Gimp does literally EVERYTHING I need it to for myself and my clients.
