A great free tool, though a tad complex
What do you like best? It is free, and it works. It has a ton of features and can do virtually anything Photoshop can. What do you dislike? It is tough to use at times, and doesn't look great on a 4K display (icons are too small Recommendations to others considering the product If you need a tool that can edit images the way Photoshop does for free, then this is for you. It has anything an advanced user can ask for. Beginners will find this tool rather intimidating. What business ...

Gimp 🤔
What do you like best? I like that it’s a free version of something like photoshop. What do you dislike? It didn’t work well with my other programs. All of adobe works well together, Gimp didn’t. Recommendations to others considering the product If you have a small budget and small design needs, use Gimp. Otherwise, I recommend upgrading to Photoshop. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Editing or designing with a super small budget.

Gimp for the Teacher
What do you like best? How very similar to photoshop it is, and how much cheaper it is for the same capabilities. What do you dislike? It's not as user friendly as Photoshop, has a learning curve. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Being able to access it at such low cost, means that I'm able to use this in my classroom setup without having to worry about the extra cost of sharing with my students.

Not amazing, but free
What do you like best? Its free. Its possible to get pixel graphics edited, just not intuitive or the easiest. What do you dislike? Not particularly user friendly. Definitely not as useful or intuitive as photoshop or paintshop. Recommendations to others considering the product If you need a free option for just some basic pixel editing, go with gimp but don't expect to replace photoshop or paintshop with this free software. What business problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Good for learning the basics
What do you like best? All the icons functions are understandable. It is a good choice for quick editing jobs. What do you dislike? The scaling tool seems to take to many steps to resize images. I dislike the different windows that float from the work space. The interface feels like something I would've used on an old mac in grade school. Recommendations to others considering the product I would recommend GIMP to someone as a training tool, to learn the tools of image editing. But not as ...
