Gimp provides almost every feature I need for graphic and photo editing.
What do you like best? The color selection features on Gimp are my favorite. I love that I can make huge or minor selections easily with the click of a button. What do you dislike? I would like for Gimp to have an option for me to turn my art into a vector... Currently I do that with Inkscape. But overall, I prefer the usability of Gimp to other programs. Recommendations to others considering the product Gimp has a surprisingly helpful selection of tools, and there are so many user ...

A Free Alternative to Photoshop
What do you like best? The price. That's pretty much what drives any user to jump on the GIMP bandwagon. As a free, open source product you'll get many (but not all of the tools and features you'll find in Photoshop, without having to pay a monthly subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud. What do you dislike? The interface is fairly old and clunky, and there is a somewhat steep learning curve even for experienced Photoshop users. That being said, beggars can't really be choosers. ...

GIMP is good for certain things, but for more advanced photo things or design I'd look elsewhere.
What do you like best? I do like how simple it is to get started with. Everything is generic and straightforward to begin with and there aren't many hidden layers. You can do basic edits very quickly and easily. What do you dislike? I dislike that it isn't a super developed program. I prefer many other things than using this. I used this in College for a class because it was free and easy to use. Now, I am getting into more complex things and this doesn't cut it. Recommendations to ...

Gimp, the best free tool for painting
What do you like best? The most amazing thing of Gimp is that actually works as expected, a lot of free software is offered as better or same as the paid option but is never like that, but!! with this one is actually true, if you're used to photoshop you can switch to gimp with no issues, this for painting, photo editing or texturing. What do you dislike? Feels weird at the beginning, and you need to edit the shortcuts, after that is great :D Recommendations to others considering the ...

There are also lots of free features which can be downloaded, such as additional fonts, brush types etc, which makes GIMP very similar to his competitor - Adobe Photoshop. What do you dislike?
