The best option linux photo editor i've ever used.
What do you like best? It was so easy to become familiar with old the control bar, helps me to make a great design work without spend money and have a good looking interface leaving you more workspace. You can go use GIMP and give it out with PS if you want too, some of my colleagues take this tool as a daily work software. What do you dislike? Talking about compatibility, most of great plugs, effects and graphics control, we have to take Adobe software, taking consideration the way ...

Bring out the Gimp!
What do you like best? This software can do most of what Photoshop can do and at none of the price. Being open source means there are a lot of users who have created useful plugins for Gimp, and support from other users is easy to find. What do you dislike? Thought it can do most of what Photoshop can do, it is missing some features that power users would use. Also, if you're use to Adobe products you'll find a bit of a learning curve that isn't too bad, but enough to be annoying at ...

Almost as good as Photoshop, and free to boot
What do you like best? I used Photoshop before I ever touched GIMP previously. And you know what, GIMP is great, especially for its price: FREE. When I'm between more expensive jobs as a freelance developer and am not paying for a Photoshop, I'll use GIMP to get simple things done. What do you dislike? Coming from Photoshop, GIMP didn't seem very intuitive at first. I was so used to how Adobe had things laid out, that GIMP took me a moment to figure out. It's capable of more complex ...

Gimp Is Great
What do you like best? Gimp is open source. No upfront costs to get in the way of creativity. With such a large community of contributors, there are tutorials and help in abundance. Quick to install and fast to get started. What do you dislike? Dated UI design makes it hard for new users.New users compare to the modern design of Photoshop and automatically think GIMP is inferior but is actually better because it runs faster without excess design elements. Recommendations to others ...

Useful if you do not have an Adobe license
What do you like best? What I like most about Gimp is that you can easily create and edit images with their designer. Someone like myself who does not have any graphic design schooling can manage the program features. What do you dislike? I do not like that the toolboxes appear in three separate tabs and that you have to reopen them every time you open the app. Recommendations to others considering the product Give it a try. I think you will be pleasantry surprised. What business ...

GIMP Review
What do you like best? I love that GIMP is a free software and great for amateur users like myself. It's a great way to start using a photo editing software before you invest in something like Photoshop. I like that most things are pretty straightforward and things that may not be are just a google search away. What do you dislike? There's not much to dislike about the program other than some limitations compared to photoshop and issues with the software itself like glitches where the ...

What do you like best? GIMP is simply amazing. Being open source, it allows me to use basic to intermediate image editing features at no cost. Easy to use, and intutive makes it even better for any customer. The three panel view makes view simplistic and shows all the required buttons and panels. I can add, edit or delete filter layers, add watermarks, resize, blow up images, scale, add text and quotations, and probably anything i can think of with any image editing software. The pleothra ...

The price is right
What do you like best? It has a lot of features and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg like some of the more famous software. What do you dislike? I think that the learning curve is a little large, but it is worth the time if you are a big time user. Recommendations to others considering the product Again, the price of other software if often prohibitive, especially for smaller companies or companies with limited budgets. What business problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Is GIMP a good Photoshop alternative?
What do you like best? I like GIMP because this software is completely free. You can download it and if this is not right for you, you can just delete it and move on. You can use this software on many platforms including Linux, Windows, OSX, etc, which is good thing if you use more than one platform. As long as you know how to use it, this can be a very powerful image manipulation program. What do you dislike? I dislike GIMP because it is kind of difficult to learn. For someone like me ...
