Great photo editing software for free
What do you like best? GIMP offers excellent image editing features for free. Comparable to softwares like Photoshop, however this one is free. The interface can seem a little daunting to the amateur eye, but very powerful tool once you learn the ins and out of the open source software. What do you dislike? User interface could be a little more friendly to beginners. Some features lacking as compared to Photoshop/lightroom. Text feature missing (compare with Photoshop, text editing ...

Gimp is great for a free software.
What do you like best? I like how easy gimp is to use. It is free and it offers just as many features as photoshop and other extensive editing software. Gimp has basically the same layout and design that photoshop has. The text editing feature in Gimp is a lot better than other photo editing text editors. There are a lot of plugins that work great. What do you dislike? I don't like how Gimp doesn't have a lot of filters or presets for photos. You have to know what levels you want when ...

Great for a free version of photoshop
What do you like best? Once you learn it’s very easy to use! Create professional graphics for free! What do you dislike? Once you learn gimp it’s hard to switch over to Photoshop - features and settings are completely different. Also some features aren’t as solid as photoshop. Doesn’t curve text well and complicated to try and do advanced design. Great if you need simple professional graphics Recommendations to others considering the product Once you get familiar with Gimp will be hard ...

Great for editing but sometimes confusing
What do you like best? I use Gimp to help me alter my logo and edit photos for advertising, but I’m not an editing pro. I was able to figure this out enough to get what I needed accomplished. What do you dislike? It is kind of confusing when you first start working with it, and takes a few tutorials to figure out. Recommendations to others considering the product If you already have editing experience, this is great. If not, another program may be better depending on how much time you ...

If you're trying to make good thing with this tool you're wrong
What do you like best? I'm so sorry and maybe lots of readers will hate on me for saying this but I've had multiple chance of using GIMP and I still consider it bad. So I like: nothing. What do you dislike? It's just a brutal version of anything graphic-related-software. It's not intuitive and not easy to use at all. I saw many people recommending it for beginners but I go against them and strongly say that this is not a good tool for beginners. What business problems are you solving with ...

Gimp for small business
What do you like best? I like that gimp is available for free when I need an editing tool on the go. My Laptop didn't have adobe and it's nice to have this. What do you dislike? It's not as recognized as adobe in the industry. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I can create graphics and edit pictures for my blog if I'm out of town.
