Fantastic and Free

What do you like best? Just starting out? On a serious budget? GIMP is a great place to start. While in the end I do prefer the Adobe suite, for my first few years doing minor image and graphics edits GIMP was a great tool. What do you like best? Caveat: The only other graphics software I've used is Inkscape, a free vector drawing program. What I like best is that it's free and open source, yet is highly functional. What do you like best? The free price tag is hard to beat. Easy install and supportive community. What do you dislike? Infrequent updates that lag far behind its commercial competitor, Photoshop. Performs the basic tasks that it needs to do, for free.
