I have tried using GIMP and, quite frankly, it is an absolute pain. nothing is simple, the manual/help isn't (helpful. simple things like cropping a photo don't give the results one expects. This is obviously a free application that is hacked together without any real design.

What do you like best? There is so much you can do with GIMP. I use it to edit graphics, create covers and recreate fonts. What do you dislike? You really need to be in this software every day to be it effectively. I spend a lot of time searching for how to do what.
