Float pros and cons
Offers an intuitive and user-friendly interface that minimizes the need for training, enabling fast onboarding.
Simplifies workflow visualization with a clear layout, helping users see team availability, workloads, and schedules at a glance.
Powerful real-time collaboration features enable seamless task updates and team coordination.
Features such as drag-and-drop scheduling, customization options, and colored task coding streamline project and resource management.
Limited mention of robust integrations beyond key tools such as Asana and Workflow Max, potentially restricting advanced use cases.
Some functionality may feel limited to experienced users in handling more complex needs, such as advanced resource allocation capabilities.

Good for visibility
What do you like best? Easy to use and it's simple to scroll backwards to check your historical or upcoming bookings. As a user it does all I need it to do. What do you dislike? I've previously used Synergist which was great for production resources as all the bookings automatically pre-populated timesheets ready to add hours and submit. I'm not sure if Float has this functionality but our organisation uses separate systems for both, and I find it does add a little more effort to ...

A useful tool to spread the workload
What do you like best? We use float for our resource management to make sure work is allocated evenly so we can see easily if someone is under or over utilised. It is an important part of our Monday morning meetings. What do you dislike? I am yet to work out how to make changes to all team members at once. I can shift recurring events for individuals but not for example, shift everyone's tasks to the following week. This feature may be there but I haven't worked it out yet What ...

Fantastic, easy to use software
What do you like best? It is super simple to use. With 90 busy engineers and designers, we needed a tool that would provide workload managers with the info they needed without being time consuming or difficult to learn. Float has performed brilliantly. It's very easy to bulk upload projects which we do once per week. What do you dislike? We needed to make all users 'Admin' in order for everyone to see all projects as soon as they are added (otherwise we needed to add every project ...

Great value and easy to use!
What do you like best? Float is a lovely way to keep tracks of daily and weekly tasks. It is minimal and polished with just the right features needed. I have found it to be a great way for the team to track what everybody is working on and keep track of how much time has been allocated to each task. What do you dislike? I think it would be more beneficial to be able to integrate this software with our timesheet tool. Sometimes refreshing the page can cause some information to get ...

Marketing Team Float Review
What do you like best? The views are super simple, and the search feature lets you customize your view to easily display what you need. The products help filter by the resources you need to see and breaks the booking out by colour to allow you to quickly differentiate. What do you dislike? Given my user access permissions are limited I do not have any cons to report. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? An easy way to spread ...

Great project management tool for daily use, not so much for small projects.
What do you like best? The schedule view allows for a quick overview of my teams capacity and the recent functionalities of budget tracking and multiple-member-tasks makes it even easier to keep track of my projects. What do you dislike? Some of my projects are quite small and only take either a small part of my day or don't take very long. The schedule view (which I use most) is not very ideal for moving around all those 1-2hr tasks. Luckily this is not a problem for the bigger ...

Finally, the tool we'd been looking for
What do you like best? The simplicity of the platform, it's so easy to drag, drop and view all of the company's assigned tasks as a very quick glance. The ability to be able to switch to project view (vs just people) is great too. What do you dislike? Early on when we started with the platform some of the usability was cumbersome & slow. However, it's changed a lot since, and is a very smooth platform now. I think one of the things I'd like most is the ability to add notes ...
