There are a limited number of languages on the app and it really cannot be used as the only tool to learning the language. It is a truly fun and entertaining tool but is also extremely educational with all the activities provided for language learning. I also love how there are so many different languages supported. "Fun, comprehensive way to learn the basics of another language!"

What do you like best about Duolingo? I love the way this program teaches the learner using multiple modalities-reading, writing, visuals, speaking, and listening. The repetition helps you retain the new vocabulary far more effectively than using any one of those methods alone! What do you dislike about Duolingo?
