"Fun learning"

What do you like best about Duolingo? It is a fun way to learn a new language. It is fast and simple to use. What do you dislike about Duolingo? I wish there would be more languages provided. For example Korean, or Chinese. Also if you add a new language by accident you are unable to remove it. Recommendations to others considering Duolingo: Hopefully more languages will be provided. What problems is Duolingo solving and how is that benefiting you? This would be a fun way to learn a new ...

"Better used as a supplement to another learning course"

What do you like best about Duolingo? Very very easy to use and simple to understand. It's free. The interface looks nice. What do you dislike about Duolingo? There are a limited number of languages on the app and it really cannot be used as the only tool to learning the language. This is probably best used as a supplement to an actual language course or other program that teaches the basics of the language as well as grammar. You should probably have some prior knowledge of the language ...

"Great language learning tool, very entertaining"

What do you like best about Duolingo? This is one of the best products I have ever used for learning languages. It is a truly fun and entertaining tool but is also extremely educational with all the activities provided for language learning. I also love how there are so many different languages supported. What do you dislike about Duolingo? I dislike how some of the activities can be a little basic but for a phone app, this is one of the most comprehensive language learning tools I have ...

"Fun, comprehensive way to learn the basics of another language!"

What do you like best about Duolingo? I love the way this program teaches the learner using multiple modalities-reading, writing, visuals, speaking, and listening. The repetition helps you retain the new vocabulary far more effectively than using any one of those methods alone! What do you dislike about Duolingo? I would like the opportunity to access a wider variety of languages, but I hope that if the company is successful they will become available soon! Recommendations to others ...

"Great free language app"

What do you like best? I like how easy it is to start off with Duolingo, and learn the basics of a language quickly. The audio and visual prompts also help people hear and see different words and phrases in context. What do you dislike? I wish Duolingo asked more about users' goals when starting a language: for instance, if you're looking to pick up travel phrases in a few weeks, this won't be the best app for you. However, if you have some time to learn the basics, travel phrases will come ...
