Great app for increasing your level of language, especially in the way of getting a better vocabulary. Nice and fun way to learn.Using it together with my colleague to learn Spanish! Also used it for Greek language before! levels are fun and interesting, covering both, writing, speaking and memorizing techniques

Useful for brushing up skills

I'm using the free version to brush up my German, as it's been a long time since I've used it. I find it very useful, although sometimes the speakers aren't very clear. It's also annoying that it uses US English, not English. On the whole, you get out what you put in - I find it helps to keep revising what I've learned and the stories are good for extending vocabulary. There are glitches - "bag" can be "Tasche" or "Tüte" but you will be marked wrong for using one word rather than the other ...

It’s like dope! I really like this

I follow the English / Spanish course and i like the way it is setup, although there is one thing that’s ennoying me more and more and that is the voice of the female speaking, which is very hard to understand what she says. More people complain about her in the forum. Even in turtlemodus you have to listen very carefully. But overall DuoLingo teaches me well the way you have to use Spanish. It’s like dope ya can’t stop doing it todos los dias

Beware of duolingo adverts

The actual App is brilliant, and makes learning , even for an adult good fun. I would recommend it to everyone, who just wants to learn a language , without the need to attend classes. However, part of the programme is advertising, and although you don’t have to watch them, i often do, to gain more hearts, and they advertise, some really good products. The problem is that not all the adverts are from legitimate firms, and i have had 2 bad experiences, where goods have arrived and are not ...

Ich war seit Jahren auf der Suche nach einem Walisisch-Kurs und bin nun vor ca. 3 Wochen bei Duolingo fündig geworden. Die Auswahl an Sprachen ist wirklich großartig.

Duolingo is a great app overall!

Duolingo is a great app overall, teaches you new languages and many features as well. You can learn more than one language at a time and it is very fun. They make it fun so you learn and have some sport with it as well. Didn't give them 5 stars because it can be a bit basic at times but a great app!

Duolingo Review

Duolingo is a very easy and well done website. I really like it the way that it teaches us languages in gradual phases, starting really easy ending up hard but not the type of hard that you can't do it because obviously when you get to that phase you have been studying the language you have chosen for your past time on Duolingo. The design is very good which makes it an easy site to navegate.

I enjoy using Duolingo to learn Spanish. I find it makes a great complement to Babbel.I find Babbel quite hard, as it's learning curve is quite steep, but Duolingo is advancing at a much slower pace, keeping my motivation going.

Excellent program

If you ask me, it's one of the best programs for learning languages. User-friendly interface, inexpensive subscription. The cool thing is that they don't just teach you a language, but they use both sound and visual images for better memorization of words and phrases. That's how you learn faster and more interesting. Also, I just love their owl :3 A couple of months ago, there were popular memes about an owl that obsessively reminds you of language lessons and threatens you. It was very ...
