Brilliant app

I have used duolingo for years. First in school for French, and now for Greek to learn my partners language. It is brilliant, plenty of free trials for the super duolingo. Would be better to have a more natural voice reading the words though.

It is impossible to end annual subscriptions

DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!!! Program is ok but very basic. It is a good starting point. I do, however, want to warn people against signing up for annual subscriptions. Duolingo makes it almost impossible to end your subscription and they will not warn you that it is coming. It just shows up on your CC. There is no number (of course) where you can talk to a live customer service person and the "help desk" simply lists a bunch of emails based on you problem/question. JUST DO NOT SUBSCRIBE

For the little green owl himself and anyone else who's interested

Hi duo! I've heard many people complaining about how duolingo is the worst but I honestly don't get it, although the reason I'm learning Spanish through Duolingo is because when I go on holidays to Spain I'd like to have a few things I could say and I think Duolingo is helping me memorise a little Spanish better than Google (no offence Google don't eat me) I was stuck on one lesson for a while and I didn't know what to do! I left Duolingo a review explaining my worries and I tried again the ...

Overall it is a great app, but.....

Overall it is a great app. But my main problem is the fact my animations, such as the duolingo bird walking as the loading animation, don't work, instead just staying in their idle animation. I've tried restarting, updating the app, everything, but the problem still remains. And in case you are wondering why I want animations, well, I just prefer seeing them than just the name of the level, it adds character to the entire thing. I think it's a bug, so if you could debug the system that'd be ...

Too childish a format for serious adult

I don't like the format with all its stupid hearts and gems and other "prizes" etc. They should concentrate more on getting the texts and translations correct. I keep finding situations where I give the correct or a correct alternative response and it marks it as an error with no explanation, particularly with ref to the Tu and Vous forms in French. Invariably uses the familiar Tu whereas it should be Vous when speaking to a stranger or an adult. Also often cannot hear the spoken word ...

For the green owl himself :)

Duolingo for me has been great! My Spanish has been coming along well until now because I've been stuck on a level! I find duo is making me repeat this lesson and I wish there was a better method than making me memorise the answer. Again up until now it's been great and I'm going to keep going until I get it right but without super duolingo it's a little hard. :( I would recommend Duolingo to anyone to anyone who wants to learn a language because if nothing else it'll get you started! :)
