With the learning of French I give the app 5 stars, I knew some of the language from having done it in school years ago. However I started learning Korean from knowing nothing, I don’t see how learning about a fox’s entrance or cucumber or cucumber milk is going to help me converse with people when I visit in September.

I am enjoying Duolingo

I am enjoying Duolingo. Personally, I don't understand the hate on the new updates. There's barely any difference. Id anything, I didnt have to choose between doing stories or lessons anymore. Currently subscribed to a Duo Plus. It kinda sucks for free users tho as the new update made more quizzes to get legendary status for a chapter and each quiz costs a lot. Maybe try making it like the lessons where we get to continue taking quizzes so long as we have hearts left? Also hard for free ...

That owl

For a pocrastinator like me, this is the ultimate tool. Lots of fun lessons to get around, decent tool to learn a language fast.

"One of the actually useful apps!"

What do you like best about Duolingo? Duolingo is an easy and fun way of learning a language. It is a playful app/game that keeps you motivated to learn a language and removes the barrier to language learning. What do you dislike about Duolingo? It can be a bit repetitive and not represent real situations that can be translated into the real world. I would like it to have more languages so I can combine Serbian (my native language) with a new language I would like to learn. What problems is ...

Great app, inclusive and diverse.

Seeing the homophobic remarks in other people's reviews is disgusting and saddening. LGBTQ+ education is incredibly important for children, and this app gets it right. One of my favourite things about the Duolingo app is that has a diverse and inclusive group of characters, including three queer individuals. Duolingo advise they believe deeply in diversity and representation, making it a no-brainer to include all types of characters of different ages, ethnic backgrounds, and sexual ...

Very good if you have a paid subscription

I found the app to be great. They do use the repetition method to get us to learn and fixate what we learn, so it might not be for everybody, but the game format is fun and addictive (in a good way). I also absolutely love how diverse the lessons are, with gay couples, Muslims, etc, which absolutely reflects society. Just removed a star because the free version is quite limited. But I have the paid subscription and it makes it really good.
