Great Wiki Solution For Documentation and Team Collaboration

What do you like best? I'm really a huge fan of the collaborative editing feature within confluence. This works in a manner almost identically to google docs where multiple users can edit a page in real time. Also the nested permissions and children page display allows you to dictate a very granular level of access within your organization What do you dislike? I dislike the the complexity of setup for hosting Confluence On prem. One of the hardest aspects of the set-up was configuring ...

Good documentation tool but slightly limited and hard to use.

What do you like best? I like the fact that it is easy to search for keywords in order to find specific articles. It has some good features like code highlight for every language, and some simple tools to add value to the articles like diagrams, timelines or tables. It has good security features, so depending on your role or department you might not be able to see specific articles. What do you dislike? It has a pretty high learning curve for new users, and it can be hard to guess or ...

Great Tool For a Wiki

What do you like best? It was very easy for me to create a section and sub-sections of documentation for my team. We store how-to's, procedure updates, and training notes in here. Its very easy to navigate and holds many types of media. What do you dislike? Without the right organization, the information can become convoluted and hard to find. It's important that you organize your information correctly from the beginning because auditing after the fact is difficult. Recommendations to ...

Confluence- a handful tool for sharing insight on anything business

What do you like best? What I like best in Confluence is the fact it is easy to share documents using the links- which can be made short too! A big pro is that you can set a page/document to be accessible or not by someone depending on whether they have logged in or what are their login roles. What do you dislike? Nothing in particular, just the UI could do with an improvement as it looks a bit old fashioned- not using the latest version though so that might be a thing! ...

Great collaborative tool to manage broad range of internal knowledge and information

What do you like best? Easy to use for new users, and highly customizable. Very useful for all topics/tool/processes requiring documentation. Collaborative updating ability makes it easy to keep things up to date without IT support. UI is very modern and user friendly. The organization of information into Spaces is very useful for setting access limits to sensitive information. What do you dislike? Search capability shows a lot of non-relevant results, it could be improved by higher ...

Good collaboration platform

What do you like best? It was easy to create documents, including the ones that requires diagrams. I can also collaborate with other team members to write or edit a page, it's also nice to have flexibility when we want to organize the pages. I also like to embed dashboard/cards from other sources in the page, and I am able to do that using confluence. What do you dislike? Sometimes I wish confluence had formatting like microsoft word, especially related to bullets and numbering, also ...

Decent overall tool

What do you like best? Overall this a decent wiki for capturing information and sharing among the team and the company as a whole. In general it does the job without getting in the way allowing me to just dump thoughts on paper and move on. By being extensible, it makes the presentation even easier. What do you dislike? It can sometimes get sluggish and have some issues requiring a reboot of the system. The share option takes another step or two when wanting to send someone a quick ...

Worth the effort

What do you like best? Confluence has been incredibly helpful in sorting and storing information and resources for our team. Each page can be as detailed or as simple as you like and the search bar makes it fairly easy to find information when you need it. What do you dislike? It's not the most intuitive user interface. I've spent a lot of time searching for ways to accomplish different functions but it almost always takes a lot of digging around the internet to figure out how to get ...
