Confluence has influence
What do you like best? Visibility and accessibility. Ease to add code blocks ,request / response as well as URL What do you dislike? Sometimes difficult to sort the page. I need to sort by my name and since I am beginner makes it little difficult to use at once. Recommendations to others considering the product Its easy to use ans very flexible with the format like I have added java blocks to my page. What business problems are you solving with the product? A+ Collaboration and Knowledge Management
What do you like best? My favorite feature of Confluence is the ability to intermingle wiki content, collaboration, and Jira issues to create informative and dynamic content. This creates new and exciting ways to deliver information. What do you dislike? If I had to pick one thing I would wish that refined wiki UI plugin was included as standard. Recommendations to others considering the product Get the refined wiki UI plugin, it's well worth it for better look and feel plus great ...

Great Wiki. Simple an easy to setup and use
What do you like best? It is a very simple tool. It is quick to setup and very easy to use. It is great for writing documentation. What do you dislike? We could use a bit better navigation options but otherwise not much What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use it to publish our documentation. Since its simple, most of our team members can easily use it. We upload screenshots, videos on most pages.

Great collaboration tool
What do you like best? Confluence is one of the best tools for corporations to foster collaboration on internal documents. It allows our teams to jointly work on and present shared information, which is essential for sharing knowledge in a geographically distributed team. Some of its killer features include: - allowing multiple edits - tracking of changes - easy presentation and search capabilities What do you dislike? It's document editing capabilities are not on par with ...

Not my favorite tool
What do you like best? The pages are pretty customizable and it's easy to create collaborative documentation. What do you dislike? It is difficult to find what you want without a direct link. The menus are rarely helpful, and the search feature is unreliable in helping me find what im looking for. I am also inundated with update emails when someone modifies a page I'm watching. Recommendations to others considering the product I would wait on this one. Maybe once it's a bit more ...

Not my favorite tool, I avoid using when possible
What do you like best? I get notified in my email inbox when a teammate asks something from me. What do you dislike? Ugly/confusing interface, too structured and systematized. Seems to encourage needless delegation and procrastination. A lot of the time I avoid logging on. I sit between a variety of teams and it's annoying to have to navigate to separate space where it could be centralized. Recommendations to others considering the product Be prepared for a large/bulky commitment. ...

Confluence isn't for everyone
What do you like best? Confluence is a great tool if you have dedicated admins and proper training. I am not a Project manager and would only recommend this tool for PMs or PM related work. What do you dislike? Its not as easy to use as it should be and is targeted at a very niche market. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? This is solving project management problems, but only for some of us - others dislike it a lot.

Not a Mainstream Collaborative product yet...
What do you like best? Easy integration with other tools such as Ticketing systems What do you dislike? Not quite an enterprise tool, at least from the perception perspective, since I was a SharePoint user earlier. Recommendations to others considering the product Make it better than SharePoint with web parts etc. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Central repository for files, & collaboration

It's good but has a lot of potential to improve
What do you like best? Few things I like about Confluence are, - Document version history - Variety of document templates to get started - Clean integration with JIRA - Excellent page editing and formatting options are some of the things. What do you dislike? One of the most annoying thing about Confluence is navigation horror, you will always feel lost and the document organization is not well done. Another issue is the speed, it doesn't feel smooth. Recommendations to ...

Useful for tracking processes
What do you like best? Confluence is a pretty easy wiki to use. We use it to document procedures and processes so that everyone is on the same page, plus new staff can be trained faster. What do you dislike? Copy/paste formatting from Confluence into an email doesn't work well. Lots of formatting issues so you have to strip out the formatting into the tool you pasted the text into and reformat. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...
