Confluence is a library or at it is where I work.

What do you like best? It organizes information and files in a nice format. What do you dislike? It's not the best and not really sure what the intent of the product is? Recommendations to others considering the product How much information do you need in a location. Is there an intranet already in place? What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Resource library.

Engineering Knowledge Base

What do you like best? I like how much power you have when creating new articles. You can make them look really nice and it handles creating tables beautifully. I have seen issue with that in other KB tools. What do you dislike? I don't like how much it feels like an engineering tool. I get why because Jira is for engineers and this is an ancillary product. I would never use this for a customer facing KB. Recommendations to others considering the product Buy if looking for an ...

Confluence keeps me and my team organized for PCI

What do you like best? I love being able to use the various widgets to automatically organize meeting notes and tickets so that I can direct upper management to a single page that summarizes the bottom line. What do you dislike? Sometimes it's difficult to know which kind of widget I should be using and need to use trial and error of previewing the page before I have what I need. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Not to ...

Great tool for team collaboration

What do you like best? We use this at work for our internal wikipedia page. It's the place where all the answers lie - its extremely helpful as a resource to new hires as well as experienced representatives who need a refresher. It's a huge time saver as you can just search for the keyword of the issue you need assistance with. We have one person here who manages the page and you can also comment on particular articles with your edits, questions, or concerns. It's sort of the central hub ...

Documentation solution for the company

What do you like best? It is easy to create and view documents with many formatting and styling options, support for uploading files and a good integration with JIRA. What do you dislike? I find it quite messy and it is quite difficult to find specific documents. It has a built-in search but it doesn't work very well (or its usage is very confusing. Recommendations to others considering the product Check very well if it meets your requirements because it can be confusing. It is very ...

Great for internal sharing

What do you like best? Confluence provides a great sharing platform, that is easy for anyone to get started with. What do you dislike? The negatives I feel about Confluence are really only related to how my company, past and present, has used it. It has a lot of potential but I'm not sure that has really been harnessed. Recommendations to others considering the product Define clear goals of how you want to use Confluence, and make sure your organization's users are trained in how ...

Secure Information Resource for our Team

What do you like best? My favorite and most-used feature on Confluence is the ability to search. We utilize this site for housing important information regarding our customers, standard operating procedures, and other information crucial to our work. What do you dislike? Visually, it feels a little cluttered. Our company is working to revamp the look of things so it may just be how it's set up on our end. Otherwise, I think it's great. Recommendations to others considering the product ...
