Likely the best solution available, but will not delight you by any means.

What do you like best? Confluence does integrate seamlessly with JIRA and other Atlassian products, and they have done a great job with making sure this is true for most of their product suite. Confluence is a good solution for about 80% of your use cases, and works well until you come up with a need in the other 20%, What do you dislike? Confluence does have a few pain points. First, it probably requires a consultant or expert to get it configured properly for your workflow. ...

Amazing Collaboration and Document platform!

What do you like best? Advanced templates for different topics with great CMS capabilities. Automatic content update for reports and integration with JIRA and JIRA Service Desk. Every department can have their own space with separate security configurations. What do you dislike? Have not had a lot to dislike on confluence but from a backend perspective, the server does require a lot of resources the more users you add. Recommendations to others considering the product Easy to ...

Confluence wiki

What do you like best? Confluence has an extremely full set of features (both in editing and administration and integrates very well with other Atlassian products such as Jira. What do you dislike? Page styling could be better but that really is a minor quibble. As far as I know, you may be able to change the default rendering style. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Collaborative documentation is one of the tool's strong ...

Good for dumping notes and information, bad about organization

What do you like best? User based intra-net of sorts, lots of formatting options, many macros to choose from for best form of display. Love being able to look for frequently-asked-questions What do you dislike? No great packaged hierarchy of pages.... unless someone emails out the confluence page, it's likely not going to get found. The search function is kind of a joke. There should really be a "tag" function that you can add to your pages to help organization. Recommendations ...

Confluence - The sharepoint

It has a lot of potential to make changes to and share the same. There are some limitations too. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Easy to use and share it without any hassle.

5 Years

What do you like best? We used ms word or google docs for the requirements and design documentation. Since confluence has been well integrated in JIRA, Agile boards and the rest of atlassian products we have moved to document all our design and requirements in there. It becomes very simple to click through he tickets to the main requirements and also collaborate on changes while they are being made. What do you dislike? While the base service is feature rich. If you do need extra ...

Essential internal collaboration tool

What do you like best? It is very easy to use and easy to get new team members up to speed on how to author on our internal wikis. User interface is clean and easy on the eyes. Good support and passionate user base makes it easy to get answers. What do you dislike? Simultaneous editing by multiple users with saving on the fly keeps Confluence from being quite as awesome as, say, Google Docs for collaboration. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have ...

A great tool for knowledge sharing and management

What do you like best? Confluence is an easy way to organize and categorize our internal and external knowledge. It is currently used as the content management system for our Knowledge Base. The available plug-ins and user friendliness of the platforms are fantastic with regard to easily documenting our products and processes. What do you dislike? The search feature can return inaccurate results. Additionally, I feel like there aren't many integrations available for Confluence and ...

Confluence acts as a documentation tool

What do you like best? It's ease of use and ability to copy/paste from MS office tools helps in migration of your documentations too What do you dislike? Formatting is a part I dislike. Though it has some good formatting options it doesnt help in copying the formatting option like MS office tool does What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We have been using this for documentation purpose. It has been one place documentation artifact ...
