Confluence is what make you of it and you can do a lot!
What do you like best? I loved the simplicity of it. We scratched the surface of it but it became central to all of our processes. We had a regular saying: "is that on Confluence?". Our goal was to remove the materials that were shared via email and Slack that would just die there and ensure that they were incorporated into Confluence. What do you dislike? I was essentially the business owner but I never saw any best practice webinars or communication. There is a big opportunity for ...

I'm very satisfied from Confluence
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Confluence helps us to define roadmaps and specifications in a collaborative way. We are able to create various spaces so we can stay on the top, to reduce noise and to increase the chances of adding value. We don’t use it only for sharing information with the team but to provide access to our customers and to allow them to update and review their specifications. This tool allows total transparency so everyone is in the same page. ...

Integrates smoothly with other services
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Our company uses Confluence, JIRA, and Hipchat. It was a bit difficult to set up the integration, but now they are working seamlessly without any hiccups. I can follow specific pages maintained by different teams to keep myself updated on various aspects. It helps me stay in the loop about what’s going on everywhere as I work for an international firm. What aspects are problematic or could work better? The product is aimed at ...

Great Collaboration Tool
What do you like best? The ease of adding content and creating a web of documentation. Love how you can tag people and they get notified. Also the integration with Jira is awesome. What do you dislike? The styling. It has the appearance of non-modern software. Some of the formatting is difficult to remember. Would be nice to be able to make part of the site public and keep part private. Recommendations to others considering the product Give a training to new employees when starting ...

Good for Documentation, Not easy to Navigate
What do you like best? The linkages between Confluence and Jira are great and make it easy to create pages to track and communicate status of work the team is managing in Jira. Static documentation for releases can be stored and searched. What do you dislike? When teams are using confluence as a collaborative space or for housing research it can become difficult to navigate and find what you are looking for. Recommendations to others considering the product If you are using Jira, ...

Ultra-Detailed Team Collaboration
What do you like best? I love the suite of tools that Confluence provides. We currently use the Confluence Wiki, JIRA and HipChat, each with their own unique features and benefits. The Wiki works as our company encyclopedia. If anyone wants to know, "What did this specific document at this point in time?" We can pull it up in the wiki and provide them with the document(s they're looking for. Although it can get quite technical, JIRA is, by far, the best project management software I've ...
