Zight (formerly CloudApp) is a screen recording and annotation tool built for remote teams, marketers, and support staff who need to capture and share visuals quickly. The core workflow—record, annotate, generate a shareable link—works across desktop apps and Chrome extensions. Key features include video narration, image annotation, cloud storage, and a free ...Read more
CloudApp pros and cons
Creates and shares screenshots, videos, GIFs, and annotated content faster than writing explanations or email threads.
Keyboard shortcuts and browser extensions make capture and sharing part of a natural workflow.
Captured content uploads to the cloud instantly and generates a shareable link automatically.
Gives remote teams a visual way to communicate feedback, troubleshooting steps, and ideas.
Uploads sometimes fail mid-recording, resulting in lost content and rework.
Slowdowns during uploads, screenshot capture delays, and cross-device sync issues occur periodically.

I have notes, but overall it's a decent app
What do you like best? It's very easy to use, and I appreciate that my desktop isn't cluttered with billions of screenshots and short recordings I need once. What do you dislike? The collection dashboard is so hard and clunky to navigate. Additionally, I've had issues of past URLs suddenly not working, when I have a doc where every single piece of creative I've ever used is shared by a Cloudapp URL. This isn't great. What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Easy to use
What do you like best? GIF capturing is really nice - the quality is good and file size is small What do you dislike? I want to be able to get the raw .gif URL for a GIF and there seems to be no easy way. I want to be able to copy and paste it in Slack and GitHub easily. Recommendations to others considering the product: Create shortcuts to make it easy to capture GIFs and use it often in your pull requests. What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Truly useful product! My best companion everywhere I go.
What do you like best? I like how easy it is to record, markup and share anything I see on my screen. I also love the ability to embed and allow others to see this content through my websites. I like how plain and simple it looks, there's no confusion on the visitors' side. All my clients find it easy to play a video and view a screenshot and are able to see everything I wanted to show them. In terms of branding, there is a logo and lack of CloudApp branding which helps me get it to ...

This not just another tool for screenshots
What do you like best? The integrations between all the operative systems I use, such as Mac OS, iOS. Also, the fact that provides you a link for everything. And an easy way to edit the screenshots. Also nowadays, they implemented a way to share files with just a link. The editor could be improved but is very user friendly and have the basics. What do you dislike? I've been part of Couldapp since the beginning, and they've been growing a lot, but definitely, as every new ...

Cloudapp is a GREAT tool for sharing screenshots and videos
What do you like best? I love the ability to be able to take a screenshot and share with a link or take the image directly to copy and paste it. I also love the ability to write text and highlight certain things within the screenshot I took. Another thing that I don't use too often but comes in very handy is uploading an image and getting a specific URL to share for that image. What do you dislike? I do wish there were more options for the text size and weight when you're typing ...

One of the few apps I use everyday
What do you like best? Cloudapp is easily one of my most used day-to-day applications. I create customer-facing documentation and Cloudapp makes it super easy to quickly screengrab and drop them into Photoshop for further editing. The gif feature is also really useful for explaining features in Slack or via email. Can't imagine life without Cloudapp. Just checked and I have over 3,600 Cloudapp screenshots and recordings. Very cool! What do you dislike? To be honest, there's ...

Great!
What do you like best? I like how links are automatically copied to the clipboard after taking a screen shot. My job requires that I have screen shots fast and easy, and this provides exactly that. What do you dislike? The only issue I have is that sometimes there's problems with screen recordings, where I'll go through the recording and once it stops, there's an error that says there was a problem during the process. Usually it's resolved by restarting the app, but is an ...
