Chime Mobile Banking pros and cons

  • The intuitive app design makes it easy to send money, check balances, and manage accounts on the go without visiting physical branches.

  • Instant notifications for transactions, low balances, and direct deposits help users stay aware and in control of their money.

  • Built-in features let users round up transactions or transfer small amounts into savings automatically, supporting better financial habits.

  • Users get paid up to two days early when they set up direct deposit, improving cash flow for bills and budgeting.

They stole $467 from me ***BEWARE***

I have been with chime for at lest 4 years and I loved it they were awesome in so many ways but on July 31 2024 i had a problem. I ordered two items on Walmart.com that totaled $467 but they where canceled. It would be about 10 days for the $467 to be sent back to me. I called the customer service number on August 8 2024 they looked into my account and told me that $467 had been sent back to me. I told them I know I didn't receive it because I was already in the spot me amount of money and ...

STOP RETHINK THIS!!!

First, I would like to express my concern over the lack of record-keeping associated with my account, which has necessitated me to reiterate the entire history of my situation multiple times. I utilized the "Spot Me" feature on my Credit Builder account, similar to how I would use it on my checking account. However, I was surprised to learn that the funds do not auto-repay once a deposit is made, and that repayment is managed through a different process within the app. I utilized $97 from ...

This is the single worst financial…

This is the single worst financial institution I have ever seen. Over 2 hours to activate a new card, even though the app says it's already working. Transactions constantly declined, even when my balance is 5 times the purchase amount. Customer service is absolute atrocious. Using the live chat function in the app, reps don't respond for almost an hour. Calling into the call center, the agents were not helpful at all. When asking to speak to someone higher up, the agent tried to talk me out ...

Unsafe data practices

They don’t make customers verify their email which seems a big oversight for a banking website. Someone signed up for an account with my email and now I am getting all their banking notifications about their account info and who has transferred them money etc. The ONLY way I can contact their customer service to tell them is to call an American number, which costs money. There is no email or online live chat without logging in, which I can’t do as I’m not actually a customer. Very VERY ...
