Flexible and fun with few flaws

I love the fact that I can create my own study plan, action it whenever I want, 24/7, and work as hard or as little as I choose. The structure is excellent although some of the English translations sometimes have distinct American influences (which would be more acceptable if that were made more overt). Easy learning made fun.

I like the friendly interface. The units are well thought out and presented in digestible chunks. The community involvement in commenting and correcting exercises is a nice touch. I did however, receive an inappropriate (suggestive) comment but I was able to block that member. I like the PDF downloads: they allow me to do "hard copy" reviews/ revision.

Very good but could be better

I use the website a lot but I find I use my tablet/phone a lot more. A brilliant feature would be a busuuchat feature for tablet/phone (perhaps a way of stopping it turning into a dating site would be to make this feature only available to premium users - ie you can speak to anybody through your tablet/phone, but can only use your phone/tablet to speak if you are a premium member). Its a great way to learn a language (for an adult). You meet great people who know what yuoua are going thru.

It's a great pastime as well as a learning place, and you meet the people who are ionterested in what you are interested in. However I really cannot get the voice recording (flash-player) to work, which causes me no end of grief. They really need to research the platforms which people use and have a trouble shooting guide for this. It means I can't do the dialogues or give verbal assiatance to my friends. GRRR. I just love it

I enjoy the new friends I've met and it's quite easy to block those that you do not want. I have found it relatively easy to get to a certain level but I think it could be quite easy to lose interest if one doesn't have the confidence to get over the potential blocks one can face. All in all I love the site and will carry on with it until I feel it can no longer benefit me.

Learn from native speakers without leaving your home......

Busuu is a great website. The format is designed to learn a language, but I have found a lot of new friends there in addition to being able to increase my knowledge of Italian. You chat, talk or video with real people...you help them...they help you. Sometimes there are issues with the website...but that can happen anywhere...all in all its a great idea, and a great site. I recently signed up for my sencond year.

By now I find the course interesting and I am liking.

Great, except technical issies.

I love the concept and encouragement you get from others. But the only Browser it works pretty well with is Google Chrome, which has tracking cookies. My default browser is MSN Internet Explorer, which I like and will keep, but if I try getting on the Bushy site, I am unable to do certain things, like the enter-return key will not bring you down to the next line when making a correction and other keyboard commands do not work right. The company is OK, but the language instruction is just average for the price

Busuu is fun to use because you get to interact with other language learners from all over the world. 4-stars. However, I would rate the quality of the language lessons 3-stars at best. My complaints are: 1) Busuu doesn't offer literal translations, so it's difficult to learn vocabulary words. For example, the foreign language words might translate to "man who fixes pipes" and Busuu will use "plumber". One must use a 3rd-party dictionary/translator to actually learn what the foreign words ...

Very good just wish there was more speaking, I find the course sometimes confusing because of the lack of verbal back up

I have enjoyed learning on busu but feel there should be more verbal back up, I have had to go to another site for this, you don't always have time to read the grammar links
