Easy to use, friendly and safe

I enjoyed completing the German Unit levels 1 & 2, it helped me greatly on my trips to Germany and speaking on the phone to native speakers. It is however disappointing that there is no level 3, also there is a big difference between level 2 and live units. I think the live units are more like level 3 listening. If I had a wish it would be that Busuu had a level 3 German module:-)

Busuu is a great tool for learning a language.

I have studied Spanish for a few years in classes and now I use Busuu in addition to classes. Everybody learns differently, so Busuu may not be for everyone. I find it very useful to build vocabulary and practice pronunciation. I enjoy correcting other learner's exercises. I wish the chat function was more clear. I would like to video chat with native speakers like you can on Verbling, but I find Busuu's chat feature confusing. I paid for the premium service and I think it is a good value. ...

Great but sometimes unreliable

When this site works, it is fantastic. The resources are colourful, interesting and motivating. The network of helpful friends are an enormous source of help and support. And it normally works OK. However, sometimes it takes some time to get connected, sometimes your friends disappear for no obvious reason, sometimes you cannot record your voice, sometimes it does not recoggnise that you have finished a unit (or even a course)., sometimes you cannot edit a friend's text properly because the ...

Great way to learn a new language with fun

I loved everything about the website, I really learned a lot, I will continue to learning to master the language. I wish if the review tests were more comprehensive and included more questions. But otherwise, it was an amazing experience having fun while learning.

Could use better examples; some of the native speakers speak too fast for lower level (A1) students. Could use better programmers; some site functionality doesn't work. Minor stuff, but still not something you should see on a social site. I enjoy learning languages and Busuu does a pretty good job.

Easy to use interactive learning. Would highly recommend as an aid to learning a new language.

Busuu.com better than Rosetta Stone!

Hey, I tried Rosetta Stone but then I found busuu.com and busuu.com is so much better. I'm learning more everyday and meeting new people.

IMHO, this continues to be the BEST of the web-based, language learning sites! Their strongest point is the use of native speakers of the language I am learning - other students, not professional "teachers" or "instructors" in most cases, to give me feedback on my written and spoken exercises. The variety of languages available for learning is AMAZING! A feature that I wish was supported is a "flash card" utility that I can populate with words or phrases from the lesson.
