Great but sometimes unreliable

When this site works, it is fantastic. The resources are colourful, interesting and motivating. The network of helpful friends are an enormous source of help and support. And it normally works OK. However, sometimes it takes some time to get connected, sometimes your friends disappear for no obvious reason, sometimes you cannot record your voice, sometimes it does not recoggnise that you have finished a unit (or even a course)., sometimes you cannot edit a friend's text properly because the ...

Good - easy to use and quick to learn

You need to put a bit of time in, as with anything worthwhile, but the short modules and simple building blocks made it relatively easy to pick up some Spanish in time for a big trip. Definitely worth the premium package if you can do a couple of sessions a week.

Easy to use, friendly and safe

I enjoyed completing the German Unit levels 1 & 2, it helped me greatly on my trips to Germany and speaking on the phone to native speakers. It is however disappointing that there is no level 3, also there is a big difference between level 2 and live units. I think the live units are more like level 3 listening. If I had a wish it would be that Busuu had a level 3 German module:-)

Busuu.com is the best inter-active language learning program I've seen, by far.

For ages, I've been trying to find a website that will help me learn and more importantly, SPEAK Polish - and I've been introduced to Busuu.com. I was previously on PolishPod101, and indeed, still use that site for just vocabulary learning. But Busuu ticks a lot of the required boxes that I need, but with a few notable exceptions. I.e. Very good but could be better

I use the website a lot but I find I use my tablet/phone a lot more. A brilliant feature would be a busuuchat feature for tablet/phone (perhaps a way of stopping it turning into a dating site would be to make this feature only available to premium users - ie you can speak to anybody through your tablet/phone, but can only use your phone/tablet to speak if you are a premium member). I just love it

I enjoy the new friends I've met and it's quite easy to block those that you do not want. I have found it relatively easy to get to a certain level but I think it could be quite easy to lose interest if one doesn't have the confidence to get over the potential blocks one can face. All in all I love the site and will carry on with it until I feel it can no longer benefit me.

Flexible and fun with few flaws

I love the fact that I can create my own study plan, action it whenever I want, 24/7, and work as hard or as little as I choose. The structure is excellent although some of the English translations sometimes have distinct American influences (which would be more acceptable if that were made more overt). Its a great way to learn a language (for an adult). You meet great people who know what yuoua are going thru.

It's a great pastime as well as a learning place, and you meet the people who are ionterested in what you are interested in. However I really cannot get the voice recording (flash-player) to work, which causes me no end of grief. They really need to research the platforms which people use and have a trouble shooting guide for this. It means I can't do the dialogues or give verbal assiatance to my friends. GRRR. Learn from native speakers without leaving your home......

Busuu is a great website. The format is designed to learn a language, but I have found a lot of new friends there in addition to being able to increase my knowledge of Italian. You chat, talk or video with real people...you help them...they help you. Sometimes there are issues with the website...but that can happen anywhere...all in all its a great idea, and a great site. I recently signed up for my sencond year.

Busuu is a great tool for learning a language.

I have studied Spanish for a few years in classes and now I use Busuu in addition to classes. Everybody learns differently, so Busuu may not be for everyone. I find it very useful to build vocabulary and practice pronunciation. I enjoy correcting other learner's exercises. I wish the chat function was more clear. I would like to video chat with native speakers like you can on Verbling, but I find Busuu's chat feature confusing. I paid for the premium service and I think it is a good value. ...
