I'm trying to learn portuguese (Brazil). I like Busuu very much here's a suggestion: I would suggest trying to add more learning information/tips on grammar, specifically around the conjugation of verbs. i.e. try to somehow teach concepts of conjugation rules for common Portuguese verbs that end in 'ir', 'er', and 'ar'. Maybe focus on present, future, and past tense conjugations.

Great idea - poor implementation

At the beginning I was enthusiastic about busuu. It is a great idea and learning a languange the busuu way is just a lot of fun and it works! My enthusiasm came to an abrupt end when suddently learning units I had long finished were displayed as uncompleted, and my "berries account" showed a random number, among other things. On top of that, my Android version of busuu stopped working. I assume that the whole problem has something to do with the synchronization between the Android and PC ...

I really like the concept and find it good that there is such a tool available. I have definitely learned quite a lot from busuu and it is great to be able to correspond with native speakers of the language I'm learning (as an English speaker you have a big advantage here as everyone wants to correspond with you). However, as my learning has advanced I have noticed numerous errors, poor or incorrect translations (and I won't notice them all because I am learning the language, so mostly take ...

Slow Responses

Generally a good site the units are well structured. I find it difficult to find help at times and the most frustrating thing is the time it takes to for the voice message to come thru when I am doing a learning unit. For example when there are three pictures and from the voice message the correct picture must be chosen. I have at times waited for up to three minutes for the voice message. Also when marking others work the colour selection does not work, so I can only use bold and underline.

My learning is very fast.

And we can know a many people who speak the language you are learning.

A really good concept but afraid of making exercises and grammar too difficult.

The practice of the vocabulary and the exercises on grammar and on building sentences are much too easy and not thoroughly enough, especially in the higher levels.

I'am currently studying Russian and though Busuu is great I think it can improve by incorporating different language learning methods mixed together. I really would like to see Grammar rules explained more in depth with lots of interactive exercises to practice, as in the case of Russian it has complex rules (cases of nouns) hard to remember that are completely new to say a Spanish or English speaker.

Very good and effective site for learning or improving language skills.

It is a site where one can develop foreign language skills in an environment where most other users are looking to do the same, conversing with native speakers adds to the rate of progress.
