Poor customer service experience.
I'm currently dealing with a billing issue. I downgraded the plan and instead of going to $29.95 a month they increased it to the Pro Plan at $458 a month. They admitted the mistake and 3 months later I'm still trying to get refunded. Really bad customer service experience and very disorganized, just got off a 42 minute phone call to them and still not resolved. I downgraded because we changed our store over to Shopify because they have better back end manual and custom order capability ...

What do you like best? I like the fact that Big Commerce offers helpful and practical tools that you will actually use in your business. It won't fail you
PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? We have 4 years of experience using BigCommerce, and we never had a single problem with it, not even a small one. Great Platform for E-Commerce Stores
What do you like best? I work as a marketer for a small start-up company overseeing 13 e-commerce sites. I love the ease of use when sorting through orders, organizing coupon codes, and the blog feature. What do you dislike? The default site templates are very simple and basic, you would need to pay to upgrade to better templates. Okay, for the most part
For the most part, BigCommerce is okay. I've used BigCommerce for the past 4 years (roughly and have to say that in that time, I've seen some improvements to their features and they've added some things to their platform that I specifically asked for over and over again, for example, customizable status updates (Awaiting Fulfillment, Pending, etc. are now customizable. I canceled my account with BigCommerce…
I canceled my account with BigCommerce several months ago. They renewed it anyway September 7th, and charged my account $863.46. I had never even activated the service, which is why I canceled it. The other reason I canceled was that I suspended my business to raise capital. They have ignored my disputes and demands for a refund, and their cancellation system will not submit cancellation requests now which only adds weight to my complaint. What do you like best? Their customer support is top notch, if you have a problem they are more than willing to help out. What do you dislike? Integration with Office365, is less than ideal. After switching to O365 for exchange, all of our order confirmation e-mails were getting black listed. This is due to a range of the IP's they use being black listed by SpamHaus. Works within itself, doesn't cooperate well with other systems
What do you like best? The layout and the overall simplicity of the system was nice. It was user friendly and did not require much training. What do you dislike? We had a lot of issues with BigCommerce communicating properly with Square and StitchLabs. Customer service tried to help but it was a lot of blaming the other systems (which we were also working with through customer service instead of trying to fix the problem on their end. Easy to do business with
What do you like best? Fast chat customer service or with live support if necessary. What do you dislike? Nothing comes to mind really. Aside from the usual multiple updates necessary. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Ease of ecommerce sales with robust data served up on each sale and easy to navigate records.
